Mul Gogi Korean BBQ
Mul Gogi Korean BBQ is one of the newest KBBQ restaurants in Tanjong Pagar. Featuring meats that undergo a water aging process, the result is a range of different cuts with increased tenderness.
The meats are thick and of good quality, with the Pork Collar being our favourite cut besides the Beef Galbisal.
Omma Korean Charcoal BBQ
Omma Korean BBQ offers something unique in comparison to other KBBQ joints in Singapore. You can choose from a selection of firewood chips for that extra smokey oomph.
We opted for the Hickory Wood during one of our visits to their outlet at Holland Village, and the result was an intense smoky flavour. The quality of the meat was okay but did not wow us.
Hanjip Korean Grill House
Hanjip is a Korean BBQ restaurant located in the heart of Clarke Quay. They serve quality cuts of meat such as Australian Wagyu and USDA Prime Beef, which are aged to produce the best flavour and texture.
The space is also more luxurious compared to usual KBBQ joints, with appropriately spaced tables and a sleek black & gold interior. Service-wise, the staff helps to grill your meat to perfection, so this is a great place for special occasions like birthdays or family gatherings!
Make sure to also try their side dishes, including our favourite lotus root banchan.

Located in Jalan Besar, a relatively unusual spot for Korean food, is Reply K1988, a Korean family-run BBQ restaurant. Named after the owner’s favourite K-drama, the place gives off local Korean BBQ restaurant vibes, with the staff conversing in Korean and the place decorated with neon signs and soju posters.
The staff here also help to grill the meats for you, as well as engage in friendly conversations, bringing the hospitality up a notch.
Food-wise, the banchan and meats are of good quality, with the pork belly being our favourite cut here.
Chang Restaurant
Located in Dempsey Hill, Chang Restaurant is known for their smokeless bbq grill. We appreciated how the staff changed the grill after each cut, and how they used different grills for different meats.
While we do agree that the place is not the most wallet-friendly place for a Korean BBQ dinner, some of the items we tried did shine. During our visit, the service was great, however, recently we noticed some reviews on Google indicating that their service has dropped.
Seoul Restaurant
Hidden within Regent Singapore is Seoul Restaurant. The place has both buffet as well as ala-carte options. The ala-carte prices here aren’t cheap, but their Seoul Galbi left a deep impression on us. Hence, most people choose to opt for their buffet instead.
It really is a game of luck at Seoul Restaurant as we realized that sometimes, the staff helps to grill the meat for you, but some tables don’t get that option at times.
Wang Dae Bak (Cross St)
If you’re a fan of Korean BBQ, Wang Dae Bak is not an unfamiliar name. With 4 different outlets spread across Singapore, it’s one of the most popular places for KBBQ.
What we like about Wang Dae Bak is not only limited to their free-flow eggs, but the quality of the meats served. One of the most memorable cuts we had was the Truffle Duroc Pork Belly, which was thick and juicy.
Their Korean pancakes were also one of the best ones we’ve had in Singapore.
