AI is transcending computers with the newest frontier: AI wearables! Meta and EssilorLuxottica are launching the latest models of the Meta AI Glasses under iconic eyewear brands Ray-Ban and Oakley.
This launch brings new features and improved performance to their wearables to fit different lifestyle needs.
What Can The Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses Do?

The new additions to the Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses series are the Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Scriber Optics (Gen 2).
They will be available from 6 May 2026.
These boast slimmer, lighter frames and support prescription lenses, alongside interchangeable nose pads and overextension hinges – all in the same stylish Ray-Ban design.
Some cool Meta AI capabilities include:
- Live Translation in more languages (French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish) with Korean, Mandarin, Japanese and Arabic to be added soon
- Fitness AI with personalised fitness tips. Compatible with Strava, Garmin, Google Fit and Apple Health
- 3K Ultra HD video capture
- Hands-free communications with Whatsapp, Messenger, Instagram Direct, Phone, Video call with POV camera and more
- Immersive music and audio with open-ear speakers and reduced background noise
I got to try them and was incredibly impressed by the AI capabilities. I could task Meta to set up reminders, identify objects in the environment, play music and even recommend travel routes with only verbal cues (‘Hey Meta’).
It offers seamless practical applications in daily life, such as looking into your fridge and asking Meta to recommend recipes with whatever is inside.
These glasses also have improved accessibility features for visually-impaired users, including Text Verbatim and Detailed Descriptions.
Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses models are priced starting from SGD629.
What Can The Oakley Meta AI Glasses Do?

For the sporty and athletic, the Oakley Meta HSTN (HOW-stuhn) and Oakley Meta Vanguard are designed to move with you.
The frames boast high water resistance ratings – IPX4 and IP57 respectively – and Oakley® PRIZM™ Lens technology for sharper colour contrast and shielding capabilities.
The Oakley Meta Vanguard is built for sports, with fitness integrations for Garmin and Strava alongside personalised AI health insights such as heart rate, pacing and incline.

The Oakley HSTN boasts a sleeker design and the same AI capabilities, with the Performance AI to push your sporting potential.
Designed for sports like golf and skateboarding, the AI can help provide suggestions like weather (‘Hey Meta, how strong is the wind today’?) and form improvements.
Both frames boast enduring battery life of up to 8 or 9 hours and a hands-free POV camera for a personal highlight reel of your sporting achievements – designed for long marathons or focused golfing sessions.
The Oakley Meta AI Glasses are priced starting from SGD659.
