Croissants have been all the rage in Korea, especially with the opening of the croissant-focused cafe Nudake in Sinsa-dong! If you’re looking for more cafes to get your croissant kick, Teddy Beurre House in Yongsan is another place worth visiting. The cute French-mix-teddy-bear theme is sure to tickle your fancy.
French Cottagecore Vibes
The cafe is themed after two things: Paris and teddy bears. The interior is packed with teddy bears of all shapes and sizes, rustic table settings and a chandelier. It’s almost like you’ve stepped into a hidden cottage in the French woods!
There’s also a second floor but it only sits two tables. When we came at 3 pm, there was a long queue. Reservations are not accepted, so we recommend coming early. They also recently opened a 2nd outlet in The Hyundai Seoul, which is already seeing long snaking queues even before opening hours!
Teddy Beurre House Menu
Their menu centers around all things croissant, with a number of seasonal bakes. The mainstays include the plain Buerre Croissant (5,000won), Pistachio Kougin Aman (6,300won) and Pain-Swiss (5,800won). Savoury bakes include the Margherita (5,500won) and Corn Egg Croissant (5,800won).

They also introduce new items frequently, like the Milk Cream Castella Croissant (5,800won) alongside seasonal offerings like the Fig Kouign Aman (6,800won). Other fun options include the Pretzel Croissant (5,300won) and 크룽지 (keu-rong-ji, 5,800won) which are basically flattened crispy croissants!
For something to gift or take away, they also offer cookie packages and cake boxes! For drinks, they have items like Cream Latte (6,500won) and Hazelnut Latte (6,000won). Non-coffee options include Pistachio Cream Milk (7,500won) and Super Sweet Corn Milk (7,000won).
Bakes
We got to try a mix of their popular bakes, starting with their number one item: the Pistachio Kouign Amann (6,300won). It was dotted generously with crushed pistachios. The pastry is thinner than the ones we usually see in Singapore.
Nevertheless, it was still flaky and sweet with a strong buttery taste. There was a notable pistachio fragrance and the nuts added a pleasant crunch! We highly recommend pairing this with the Pistachio Cream Latte for that extra punch in pistachio flavour. Dipping the croissant into the cream was *chef’s kiss*!
Their Buerre Croissant (5,000won) was sizeable, with a visually appealing sheen. It was a well-executed croissant – horn-shaped, crisp and flaky with a strong butter flavour.
Our favourite was the Pudding Croissant (6,800won). It seemed unassuming with a whole pudding nestled atop a croissant base. But the sweet and creamy pudding paired perfectly with the pastry, which exceeded our expectations!
We also tried the Mango Danish (6,500won) which seemed to be a summer item. It was filled with regular cream, mango cream and something like a tart mango jelly.
We enjoyed the contrast of the crunchy pastry and tangy mango, although we feel it could do with more fresh mango! There was no artificial taste which we also liked.
Drinks
For drinks, we tried their signature Pistachio Cream Latte (8,000won). It came with a thick layer of pistachio cream, which was fragrant and not too sweet. The coffee flavour did not come through strongly
Non-coffee drinks can try the Cream Chocolate (7,500won), also garnished with a layer of cream. The chocolate flavour could have been stronger for more satisfying flavour.
