There is now more Korean food to try in Clarke Quay! Kimpson’s Table, an online Korean food venture, is having a 3-month pop-up in Chef X, where you can enjoy classic hansang cuisine.
Engineer To Be Turned Chef

Kimpson’s Table is helmed by Patrick Kim, a Korean-born who was on the path to being an engineer.
Chef Patrick decided to take the leap and pursue his passion in culinary arts with a course at Korean Tourism University and training at multiple restaurants.
He wanted to bring simple and healthy Korean food to Singapore, inspired by the food prepared by Korean ommas at home.
His recipes are prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients – either from Korea or local markets – no MSG and no preservatives.
Kimpson’s Table started in January 2025 as an online business. This residency at Chef X marks his first steps toward owning his own brick-and-mortar store!
Kimpson’s Table Chef X Menu

The menu offers Hansang cuisine, which is a traditional spread featuring a main dish, rice, and banchan.
It’s designed to be a hearty meal with variety!

The Chef X menu is slim but classic. The signature is the Authentic Ginseng Chicken Soup Set ($15).
It features a tender half chicken in a herby, nutritious soup. Despite being clear, the soup was surprisingly thick and rich!
This was familiar and reminiscent of those in Korea, with a prominent sweetness and not overly medicinal ginseng flavour.

The Spicy Pork Bulgogi Set ($13) was a standout for us! Deeply marinated, spicy and not too fatty; it was super moreish with the included rice.
It’s also available in iterations like Beef Bulgogi Set ($14) and ChunCheon Style Spicy Chicken Set ($13).
Chef Patrick makes his own marinades from scratch, providing a refreshing flavour that makes you feel good after eating it.

Korean fried chicken is a must-have and they offer Boneless Chicken! Choose from three flavours: Original ($14/6 pieces), Sweet and Spicy ($15/6 pieces), and Bburingkle Cheese ($16/6 pieces).
The chicken was perfectly fried with an insanely crunchy outside and juicy, seasoned meat.
Our only comment would be that the Sweet and Spicy could be a bit spicier as it leaned sweet.

Other classic Korean dishes available are the Kimchi Pancake ($10) and Deep Fried Dumpling ($10/6 pieces).
Their Kimchi Pancake is thin but crisp at the edges, packed with kimchi and just enough batter to keep it together.
