Upcoming sandwich brand Don’t Runaway is hosting a pop-up in lieu of their official opening. This is the newest concept from the team behind Champion Bolo Bun and Dickson Nasi Lemak, featuring American-style sandwiches with an Asian twist.
In exchange for their sandwich, all you need to do is download the Don’t Runaway app (available on the Google Play Store and App Store) and register as a member.
That’s it. No more other steps – for real! 100% free.
The redemption is limited to one sandwich per person, per week.
The sandwich flavour lineup starts with The Side Chick, inspired by shawarma. It’s filled with Middle Eastern chicken, pickled vegetables and a tangy yoghurt sauce between potato buns.
For a ‘free’ dish, this was substantial and well-seasoned! The creamy yoghurt sauce and crunchy pickles balanced out the spiced chicken slices.

It will rotate every week, with three other confirmed flavours: Mortadel-lah (stracciatella, mortadella and yuzu kosho), Jack & Loaded (meat-free with jackfruit chilli con carne) and Beef Me Up, a unique take on tantan noodles with peanut butter and yakiniku brisket.
This pop-up also functions as a ‘test’ for the Don’t Runaway team. Try their sandwiches and give your feedback for more fun future drops!
