Renowned in Osaka, Ganko Sushi has launched its first Southeast Asian outlet in Dhoby Ghaut. They’ve just introduced a new Chef’s Value Omakase Menu ($98++), available all day where you can savour a 10-piece sushi platter that includes Uni, Scallops and more!

Kou Teppan
At Kou Teppan, the fusion of omakase and teppanyaki takes centre stage with their exclusive lunch ($58) and dinner ($88) omakase sets. With large teppanyaki grills, guests have the delightful experience of watching their meals being expertly grilled and served right in front of them.

Unkai Sushi
Located within Orchard Rendezvous Hotel, Unkai Sushi has an 8-course lunch omakase ($68++) that features seasonal ingredients and a mini chirashi don with an option to upgrade to the exquisite Magic Bowl, which includes delicacies like white shrimp and uni.

Kissajin
Kissajin has only one expertly crafted omakase menu for both lunch ($68++) and dinner ($98++), refreshed quarterly to showcase the best of seasonal produce.
A unique twist here is the yoyo tsuri experience, a game typically seen at festivals. In a delightful culinary twist, you’ll be catching and popping the balloon over a bowl to unveil a silky Goma Tofu orb.
The menu is filled with innovative dishes including a bowl of Japanese curry rice paired with Kagoshima Wagyu, alongside other unique offerings like Chawanmushi and gourmet Sandos!

$100 – $200: Mid-Range Omakase Experiences
G Izakaya
G Izakaya offers a dual concept, blending omakase and izakaya styles. The omakase section is elegantly simple, featuring the classic open kitchen design. Their omakase menus range from $108 to $180 per person, including courses such as an appetizer, yakimono (fried items), and dessert.

Sushi Michi
There are four omakase options available for both lunch and dinner at Sushi Michi. The lunch courses are more budget-friendly, priced at $80 and $108, each featuring a 13-course set. For dinner, patrons can indulge in either an 18-course or 20-course set.

YUTA
YUTA has just one menu option, their YUTA Omakase ($115), featuring an 11-course meal. Three staple dishes like the charcoal-grilled A5 Wagyu Sirloin remain constant, while the rest of the menu gets a refresh every two weeks.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience at YUTA and highlights from our meal included unique offerings like a charcoal-grilled tofu pouch filled with chicken tsukune! We suggest pairing the meal with their specially selected sake and umeshu, which are thoughtfully chosen to complement the different stages of the omakase.

Shin Yasuke
Shin Yasuke is a sushi-focused omakase spot in River Valley, that offers an exclusive dining experience. Their menu features a 15-piece sushi set, with more affordable lunch options including a 10-piece Sushi Omakase priced at $98.

$200 – $300: Premium Omakase Selections
AN Omakase
AN Omakase offers an intimate setting with a luxurious feel. Their omakase menu ranges from $188 to $688, featuring an array of seasonal appetizers, sashimi, and nigiri.
Their offerings had a mix of both cooked and raw dishes. Standouts included Fried Tilefish, Truffle Caviar Somen, and a Sashimi Platter! Prepared right before your eyes, you might even witness some ‘performances’ such as blow torching or the application of gold glitter to the dishes.

Sushi Yujo
Sushi Yujo offers both lunch ($98 or $198) and dinner omakase menus. Their dinner options range in price from $198 to $348. We had the opportunity to experience the $288 dinner omakase menu, and you can find our detailed review here.
Our meal featured several standout dishes, including a Carpaccio dish, which was a delicately prepared seabream carpaccio, and the chef’s signature creation – slices of abalone elegantly served on a bed of rich abalone liver sauce.
