HEY KEE New Menu
Hey Kee has expanded their already extensive menu with new items like Braised 2-Head Abalone ($38.80) and F&N Float ($4.50). Some dishes, such as Crab Meat Cigar Roll ($14.80) and Crisp-Fried Quail ($28 for 3), need to be pre-ordered in advance.
To celebrate their new menu, you can enjoy the Braised 2-Head Abalone at only $ 28.80 (U.P $38.80)!
Their main focus is Hong Kong-style tze char dishes. Choose from rice and noodle options like the Signature ‘Wok Hei’ Hor Fun with Beef ($12.80) to Fried Rice with Chinese Sausages ($10.80) to stir-fry dishes like Temple Street Crispy Roast Chicken ($22.80) and Pan-Fried Beef Tenderloin Cubes with Potatoes ($36.80).
Their live seafood menu includes Salt-Baked Crab ($98/ Kg), Steamed Razor Clams with Minced Garlic ($12-18 per piece), and Stir-Fried Live Prawns with Superior Soy Sauce ($28 for 300g)!
Steamed Clams with Hong Kong Flat Rice Noodles
The Steamed Clams with Hong Kong Flat Rice Noodles (regular: $28.80; large: $50) offered a unique twist on the traditional zhu chang fen. The steamed clams provided a nice meatiness and substantial flavour. However, the dish could have been better with a more prominent flavour from the cooking wine.
Braised Crab Bee Hoon
The Braised Crab Bee Hoon ($108/kg) was infused with umami from the wok hei, while the bee hoon absorbed the rich flavours of the broth. The crab was sweet and meaty enough to satisfy any seafood lover!
Typhoon Shelter Soft Shell Crab
The meat of the Typhoon Shelter Soft Shell Crab ($28 for 3 pieces) was soft and tender, with a crunchy exterior that made it addictive. Although it was well-seasoned, it might be too salty for some. Nonetheless, it’s definitely a dish that would pair well with a cup of beer.
Claypot Minced Ginger Prawns

The Claypot Minced Ginger Prawns ($50 for 600g) had a fragrant ginger flavour, from the blend of old ginger and young ginger! The prawns were large and sweet which were able to carry the strong gingery taste.
Hong Kong Century Eggs In Garlic Vinaigrette
The Hong Kong Century Eggs in Garlic Vinaigrette ($8.80) was a simple yet flavorful dish, drenched in a spicy sauce that was also slightly tangy. The fresh garlic and coriander also made it extra fragrant!
Crabmeat Cigar Roll

The Crabmeat Cigar Roll ($14.80) was one of the most intriguing items we tried! It resembles a cigarette stick but hides generous chunks of crab meat. The added tobiko roe at the top also gave a good crunch.
