Singapore has a new cocktail bar, opened by the folks behind Jigger & Pony, Singapore’s No.1 bar. It’s helmed by Uno Jang, the creative director of the group, who also recently received the award for Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award at the World’s 50 Best Bars 2025.
It’s called BOP (Bartenders of Pony), and it’s Singapore’s first Korean cocktail dining bar.
Korean Drinking Culture Brought To Life

The place is decorated in colours from obangsaek, Korea’s traditional colour spectrum, which you’ve probably seen a lot in places like Gyeongbukgung Palace. Combined with Korean textiles, folk art paintings and textures, the place transports you to Seoul from the moment you walk in.
It’s also no coincidence that BOP’s signature drink is an Iced Somaek ($16), a drink that is close to Korean drinking culture.
The one here at Bartenders of Pony (BOP) features an ice-cold lager topped with shaved soju ice flakes. Fans of the Jigger & Pony Group might recognise the ice shaving machine, previously seen at Sugarhall.
Korean Cocktail Bar in Tanjong Pagar

The menu at BOP features 12 signature cocktails inspired by Korean pop culture and ingredients such as rice, perilla, nuruk, seaweed and more. You’ll find drinks made with traditional Korean spirits such as soju, takju, and makgeolli, just to name a few.
Our favourite drink has to be the Perilla Smash ($23), which draws inspiration from Perilla Oil Noodles. From elements of perilla oil to cucumber, the drink brings out the herby flavours of perilla while being refreshing.

A close second is the Dalgona Iced Coffee ($23), which takes inspiration from the viral honeycomb Candy, thanks to Squid Game. The vodka-based cocktail is quite dangerous, since it goes down easily. It reminds us a bit of an adult version of the classic Korean instant coffee mix, thanks to the addition of gamhongno, a Korean liquor with ingredients like cinnamon and dried tangerine peel.

As someone who isn’t the biggest fan of olives, the one served together with the BOP Martini ($23) is a gamechanger. It’s a soy sauce-pickled olive, which goes really nice with the rice-driven martini. The drink echoes the comfort of bap (cooked rice), while the soy sauce-pickled olive acts like a banchan.
Other interesting drinks you’ll find at Bartenders of Pony include Buldak Penicillin (yes, there’s buldak sauce in this), Hallabong Bellini, and a Honey Butter Godfather.
All cocktails are priced at $23, while the Iced Somaek is priced at $16.
Food at Bartenders of Pony
With the concept of anju surrounding Korean drinking culture, BOP did not play around with the food menu.
In fact, it’s curated by Jigger & Pony Group’s Executive Chef David Tang, together with Chef Jason Oh, who appeared in Season 1 of Culinary Class Wars.

A must try is their Crispy Fried Chicken ($18), which pairs amazingly with the Iced Somaek. Based on Chef Jason’s signature recipe, the chicken is juicy and has a satisfying crunch. It’s served together with three in-house sauces: a mala jang, peanut sauce and tangy BBQ.
The peanut sauce contains doenjang, which was pretty interesting, but our personal favourite was the super well-balanced mala jang.

Something comforting and fun to try is their Yukgaejang K-Cup Ramyeon ($14)! Served with a timer at the table, guests get to complete the dish themselves by adding in perilla powder and perilla leaf for that extra nutty kick. This might just be the perfect hangover cure, but also a good reason to continue partying into the night.
You’ll also find an elevated Tuna Gimbap ($21), along with a Banana Milk Tiramisu ($16) inspired by the popular convenience store recipe.
A Night Out in Seoul, Here in Singapore

If you’ve ever wondered what a night out in the streets of Apgujeong feels like, BOP (Bartenders of Pony) is probably the closest thing you’ll get here in Singapore. It’s a wonderful addition to the drinking scene here in Singapore.
Great food, great drinks and great vibes.
