Looks like the Korean wave isn’t dying down anytime soon. After a successful pop-up by Standard Bun and B for Bagel, the space that used to be occupied by Bakery 1946 is having another Korean bakery pop-up. This time by Ulsan bakery Yoon Yeon Dang.
If you’ve only ventured to Seoul during your trip to Korea, you’ll probably clueless about this brand. They’re from Ulsan and have 10 outlets, mainly located around that area, with a couple in Busan.
Korean Bakery From Ulsan in Singapore
The brand is known for its fresh fruit cakes that are generously layered with over 1kg of fruits. For this pop-up, they’re bringing two of their iconic fruit cakes to Singapore, along with their iconic Snowflake Bread.
The Mango Cake ($70) is layered with over 1kg of fresh mango and paired with fresh milk cream. In Korea, this cake is not meant to be cut and enjoyed; instead, you’re invited to dig right into the whole cake, eating it almost like a cup dessert.
On the other hand, the Assorted Fruits Cake ($75) sees an assortment of fresh strawberries, shine muscat grapes, mangoes and blueberries.
We managed to try their signature Snowflake Cream Cake ($25), which is basically a fluffy bread topped with lots of fresh cream. It’s a light cream that makes it easy to eat, but due to the sheer amount of cream, it’s probably impossible to finish the whole thing by yourself.
Also, for a price of $25, it’ll be a financially wise decision to share it with a few friends.
Korean Salt Bread in Singapore
They will also have a variety of salt bread for sale, offering both savoury and sweet options. All of them are made using premium Lescure butter.
Think flavours like Black Sesame Cream, Egg Mayo, Jambon Butter and Green Onion Cream Cheese.
One of our top picks was the Garlic Salt Bread ($6.5), which had the garlic punch we were looking for, elegantly balanced out with cream cheese.

The Plain Salt Bread ($4) is probably the safest option, and you can pick from a selection of cream cheeses to go with it.
The Yoon Yeon Dang pop-up will take place at Suntec City, near Tower 3, from now till 26 October 2025. They’re also accepting pre-orders for their fresh fruit cakes online.
