4. Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle
Pottery is more than just wet clay and the wheel. The kiln where the pieces are fired is also essential to the whole process. Take the dragon kiln at Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle as an example.
Built in the 1940s, the dragon kiln is one of the last of its kind in Singapore. This massive kiln is built from bricks and uses a wood firing technique where the pieces are engulfed in fire.
