If you’re looking for a sweet treat, consider a macaron from Pierre Hermé Singapore – a French patisserie famous for its assortments of expertly crafted macarons. This outlet in WEAVE Sentosa is their first Southeast Asian flagship store!
Biggest Pierre Hermé Flagship Store
The store is massive, spanning two whole floors and an outdoor area. The first floor is a takeout-only patisserie.
A dazzling counter greets you with chocolates, macarons and pastries, crowned by a glass ceiling installation that looks like a flower. We were starstruck by how ornate everything was!
This flagship also boasts two firsts for the brand. One is the Pierre Hermé Paris Ice Cream Bar, where you can enjoy hand-scooped ice cream and freshly made waffle cones.
There is also the Pierre Hermé Paris Furoshiki Stand that offers sustainable and artful gift-wrapping using Japanese wrapping traditions!
The second floor houses Table by Pierre Hermé, a dine-in concept where you can enjoy savoury items and elevated plated desserts.
The outside is just as well-decorated, with a colourful walkway and gigantic macarons on the side of the building.
Pierre Hermé Singapore Menu
Chef Pierre Hermé has an impressive background in French pastries, starting his journey at only 14 years old.
He’s the creator of Isaphan, the iconic flavour combination of lychee, rose and raspberry!
The selection of French pastries showcases his expertise in desserts, like his Inifiniment Vanilla series that incorporates three types of vanilla.
Macaron
The star item is their famous Macaron (from $5/piece), available in 18 flavours.
Choose from flavours like Infiniment Vanilla de Madagascar, Arya (Pistachio & Orange Blossom) and Plasir Sucre (Milk Chocolate & Flaky Praline) in colourful shells.
These earn their reputation as one of the best macarons on the market!
The shells had a crisp exterior with a slight chew, complemented by sweet, creamy and zesty fillings.
We recommend getting the Ispahan and Praline Noisette (Hazelnut). The rotation includes 8 seasonal flavours, so there’s something to look forward to!
Pierré Herme Pastries & Tarts
There are over 15 specialty tarts and classic pastries to choose from.
Choose from items like Pain Au Chocolat & Pistachio ($7.50) and Brioche!
Everything starts from $3.50. We were impressed by the manageable prices for the generous size and quality of the bakes!
The Singapore-exclusive pastry is the “Trick the Eye” Pastry, designed to look like a slice of kaya toast. It’s instead flavoured with peanut tartine and peanut butter.
We tried bite-sized versions of their must-try items like the Ispahan ($9), a macaron with rose petal cream and raspberries and Tarte Infiniment Vanille ($9).
You must order the tart! It had an intense but layered vanilla flavour, not too sweet or milky either. Practically blew our minds and stands as one of the best vanilla desserts we’ve eaten.
Savoury Bites
There is an all-day menu at Table by Pierre Hermé, featuring dishes like Roasted Farm Chicken with Artichoke Pesto ($20) and Isaphan Sea Bream Ceviche ($18).
The savoury dishes exceeded our expectations, with everything being well-seasoned and flavourful! These prices (most are under $25) are good for the location and quality.
Based on our sampling, we recommend the Croque-Monsieur from Pierre Hermé Paris ($21).
They also offer a Tea Time menu ($88++ for 2 pax) with 11 bites, which is the perfect way to sample all their offerings.
Bubble Tea
Another special item in Pierre Hermé Singapore is a Bubble Tea menu. Choose from flavours like Matcha Cappuccino ($9) and Ispahan ($9) with housemade ‘pearls’.
We tried the Matcha, and to be completely honest, didn’t enjoy it.
It lacked a notable matcha flavour and might be better if sweeter. The ‘pearls’ were more like agar agar with a hard bite instead of the familiar chewiness.
Ice Cream Bar
There are 12 flavours of ice cream, ranging from Hazelnut Praline to Yoghurt & Red Fruits Sorbet.
Everything is priced at $6/scoop in a cup and $7/scoop in a cone.
We tried the Montebello with pistachio and strawberry, and Chado, which features matcha and yuzu.
While the Montebello was an easy favourite for us, Chado was way too sour without a distinct matcha flavour.
Macarons In Singapore
Pierre Hermé has earned prestige for the mastery of French desserts, and we see why! The offerings, quality and flavour are great, especially for the prices and ambience. If you’re looking for a cosy dessert place in Sentosa, this is a perfect choice!
