You probably recognise PAZZION for their shoes, but did you know they have a café too? PAZZION Café is a lifestyle café with an open style concept that merges dining and shopping together seamlessly. The café has outlets in Takashimaya and Jewel Changi Airport, but we got a chance to visit the latter.
Dark, Sleek Aesthetic Cafe Interior
PAZZION Café’s general theme is dark and industrial, much like its shoe stores. The interior has grey concrete floors and an open coffee bar plus kitchen, paired with a touch of retro furniture and comfortable chairs.
There’s also outdoor seating available that overlooks the Jewel Rain Vortex if you prefer a more open space. Joining the café is the PAZZION shoe store, offering a selection of their shoes for you to browse freely while your food is being prepared.
PAZZION Café Jewel Menu
The café menu has a large variety and is split into two main sections – Brunch and Mains. The Brunch menu is available until 3pm, and includes items like:
- Big Fabulous Breakfast ($26)
- Sautéed Mushroom Toast ($18)
- Beef Cheek Benedict ($21)
- Ultimate Vegetarian Breakfast ($22)
The Mains menu is only available after 11.30am, offering burgers, pastas and Western-style dishes:
- Grilled Supreme Pork Chops ($26)
- El Cubanos ($22)
- The Fab Burger ($24)
- Cold Truffle Pasta ($22)
There’s also a selection of sides, salad and grain bowls and desserts that are available all-day, including a Super Quinoa Bowl ($18), Wild Mushroom Soup ($12), Mixed Berries Waffles ($18) and Chocolate Granola French Toast with Berries ($20) and more.
Savoury Items
We tried a number of items from their Main menu, plus their exclusive Halloween Menu and a special drink that goes to supporting breast cancer research!
Mezze Platter
For starters, we got their Greek-inspired Mezze Platter ($15) that comes with warm pita bread, a side salad and three dips – Yogurt Cucumber, Babaganoush and Hummus. The warm pita went perfectly with the flavoursome chilled dips, especially the hummus that came garnished with a generous amount of olive oil.
Braised Beef Cheeks
The first of two mains, the Braised Beef Cheeks ($28) was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a savoury gravy that penetrated deep into the meat. It also came with a side of creamy truffle mashed potatoes and broccolini, which made for a satisfying bite.
King Prawn Linguine
The King Prawn Linguine ($24) was also surprisingly good, with a creamy bacon and garlic butter sauce topped with two large charred king prawns. The prawns were cooked perfectly and had a sweetness in the meat, plus a notably smokiness from the grill that lingered on the prawns. It paired well with the savoury cream sauce and al dente pasta!
Desserts And Drinks
PAZZION Café has a generous lineup of drinks and desserts like coffee, tea and even matcha and hojicha. But we opted to try their limited edition drink and dessert items, available only till 31 October 2022!
Pink Moon
The Pink Moon ($9) is an October special drink available only till 31 October 2022 that is in support of breast cancer research in Singapore. 30% of the nett proceeds from the drink sales will be donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The drink itself is a rose lemonade with milk topped with a milk foam and dusted with edible flowers. The drink was on the sweet side, but had a notable fragrance from the rose syrup.
Halloween Set
PAZZION Café is celebrating Halloween with their own exclusive Halloween menu items! Try the Midnight Ghoul ($9.50) drink or the Hocus Pocus ($20) dessert, which you can get together as a combo for $24. The Midnight Ghoul is a charcoal chocolate drink decorated with a Lotus caramel biscuit and two gummy eyes. Despite its looks, the drink was not too sweet and rather enjoyable!
The Hocus Pocus, on the other hand, was a feast for the eyes – four large cubes of charcoal bread came topped with vanilla ice cream, spiced poached pear, raspberry sauce and even gummy worms. This was a bit difficult to eat, but the warm bread paired with cold ice cream and the tartness from the berry sauce made for a pleasant way to wrap up the meal.
PAZZION Café At Jewel Changi Airport
All in all, the ambience at PAZZION Café was enjoyable, and the food was unpretentious and quite satisfying! We recommend sitting outdoors to enjoy the view of the Rain Vortex, or take your time to browse their shoe store right next door. Visit their Instagram or website for more information!
