Offering fresh pasta from only $3.90, PastaGo is a takeaway kiosk featuring fresh-made pasta in a variety of sauces and toppings for your choosing. After a successful first launch in JCube, PastaGo now has a second outlet at Tiong Bahru Plaza!
Quality Pasta At Unbeatable Prices
Tucked away in the basement of Tiong Bahru Plaza, PastaGo offers a customisable menu of four pasta shapes – Fettuccine, Pappardelle, Mafalde, and Campanelle – and over 8 add-on topping options like smoked salmon and duck breast. Their sauce options include the classic Carbonara, Aglio e Olio, Marinara, Bolognese in Beef or Chicken and the unique PastaGo original Al Limone that is finished with lemon and tobiko eggs.
The main star is their pasta that is made fresh in-store, which provides a better eating experience compared to regular dried pasta.
Their signature menu items include Carbonara with Smoked Duck ($9.40) and Aglio e Olio with Seared Prawns ($5.90), which we got to try. The Carbonara sauce is made the authentic Italian way with no cream and only egg yolk, which made for a savoury, creamy sauce that coated the Mafalde (a ribbon-shaped pasta with curled edges) noodles perfectly.
PastaGo prides itself on its al-dente noodles, and they hit the mark! The pasta was cooked al-dente with a chewy bite, making for a great mouthfeel. The sauce is also served separately from the noodles to prevent them from getting soggy.
The Aglio e Olio was equally satisfying with the fragrance of garlic and a slight kick from the chillies that cut through the oil. For those who love garlic, you’ll enjoy the generous amount of garlic slices per serving. We didn’t get to try the Al Limone but it was recommended by the staff there, so it’s definitely worth a try! The queues can get long during peak hours so do expect a wait.
It’s hard to find good pasta at a budget-friendly price point, and PastaGo exceeded our expectations! Check out their outlets in JCube and now Tiong Bahru Plaza.
