MyX is the newest opening at Holland Village, and they’re serving up modern comfort food with Southern and Latin American flavours.
Interior

The store is dimly lit with warm lighting, creating a casual and cosy atmosphere.
Wooden elements, terracotta walls, forest green tiles and decor pieces like plants and photo frames give the space a homely feel.
There is even a hidden nook with a Book Lending Library and Vinyl Listening Lounge where you can loan or exchange them. Records can be played in the restaurant as well.
The space can also be converted into a private room for workshops and events.
Myx Menu

There is a different menu for brunch, lunch, and dinner, inviting you to visit at different parts of the day.
Check out the full menu here.
There is even an option between the a-la-carte lunch menu and the set lunch menu ($26++ for 2 courses), and the offerings are pretty extensive.
All the dishes draw inspiration from the flavours of South America and Latin America, for an adventurous take on comfort food.
Highlights include the Uni Cavatelli & Cheese ($34), Pressed Cubano Sandwich ($25), and the Chilaquiles ($13).
Appetisers

We started the meal with the Salmon Tiradito ($25) and Red Prawn Ceviche ($23).
The citron agave shoyu gave the salmon a savoury yet refreshing flavour, and definitely whet our appetite.
The prawns were fresh and crunchy, pairing well with the watermelon radish!

The Artichoke Dip ($15) was creamy with a strong truffle flavour, and was our favourite appetiser.
The dip, paired with the tortillas and sunchoke chips, had a nice bite.
Mains

The Grilled Iberico ($38) is a must get for the mains!
It was tender, juicy, and flavourful. Served with pickled plums and burnt red onion puree, each bite can be paired differently so the dish stays balanced and never feels cloying.

The Dirrrty Chicken Rice ($32) paired a black pepper roast chicken with dirty rice, and we couldn’t get enough.
Each mouth of the rice was packed with flavour that complemented the crisp, smoky chicken.
It’s a really satisfying dish that we’d come back for!

The Kani Miso Linguine ($34) came with perfectly cooked noodles.
The crab roe and the grilled tiger prawn gave it a rich seafood flavour while the tanginess from the lime kept the dish balanced!
It’s rich, satisfying, and definitely hit the spot for us.
Desserts And Drinks

We wrapped up the meal with the Yuanyang Tres Leches ($14) and the Kaffir Lime Panna Cotta ($14).
The panna cotta had a nice silky pudding texture, but the kaffir lime taste was overly strong.
We found ourselves reaching for the tres leches more as it was a familiar dessert.
The tres leches reminded us of a lighter version of tiramisu, with the coffee notes.
It had a soft texture and wasn’t overly sweet, making it a good dessert to end the meal.

For drinks, we had The Valley ($17) cocktail and the Oh! Violette ($12) mocktail.
Both were good drinks that complemented our meal, but the cocktail had a more unique flavour from the lime and basil.
