Not sure about you, but Huber’s Butchery always catches our eye with its red H logo whenever we enter the Dempsey Hill area. However, we just never found ourselves making a conscious effort to visit – until we learned about what it offers.
Contemporary Farmhouse Inspired Butchery & Bistro
Located at the foot of the Dempsey Hill area, Huber’s Butchery boasts a 14,000 square foot space, which houses not just a butchery, grocery store area, and bistro but is also home to a children’s playground and a gorgeous waterfall garden.
Started back in 2007 as a single meat counter at a branch of Fairprice Finest’s first supermarket, it’s amazing to see know the brand has grown in 17 years.
This growth is not surprising after we learned of the services that Huber’s offers.
While we were impressed with the wide range of products they offer, the thought they put into their products is truly first-class. For example, their uncooked sausages are made on-site, using quality and premium meats from all over the world that are free of growth hormones, and void of fillers and MSG.
They take it a step further, and accommodate requests for no salt, herbs, and spices!
You can also find sliced-to-order meats, ready-to-cook meats such as kebabs and patties, house-made salads, to house-made sauces and spreads – making this spot the perfect one for any gatherings or parties you’re planning for.
Huber’s also has over 200 varieties of artisanal cheeses from all over the world, alongside house-made cured meats and dips. This is perfect with their library of 500 wines, beers, and spirits, in case you’re planning a cheese and wine night with your close ones.
Something unique to Huber’s, apart from their range of game meats such as kangaroo, rabbit, and frog, is GOOD Meat. GOOD Meat is basically cultivated meat, and Huber’s Butchery is the first in the world to sell and serve it.
Family-Friendly Space in Dempsey
The upgraded space at Huber’s now features a spacious playground with a new mini flying fox zipline and climbing wall for young children. This is perfect for families with young ones! Parents can chill at their bistro while allowing the kids to roam free around the garden and playground.
If you’re unable to make it to Huber’s during their operating hours, no worries! Huber’s Butchery has introduced 24-hour temperature-controlled self-collection lockers, so you can purchase your stuff online, key in a code at the lockers, and collect your stuff anytime! There’s also a vending machine stocked with charcuterie, daily necessities, and beverages.
