Ginger @ PARKROYAL on Beach Road is popular for its premium halal buffet selection and it’s getting even better with new dinner menu additions: Freshly-grilled steak, an expanded seafood selection and more Ginger signatures.
All You Can Eat Steak Buffet

The most exciting offering is the à la minute grilled steak selection.
Choose from cuts like Tenderloin, Striploin and Flank, served with a side of Beef Fat Fries and housemade Truffle sauce.
These are cooked to order, served warm and perfectly medium rare!

I tried the Ribeye and Tenderloin and was impressed by the high quality and execution of the meat.
Beefy but not gamey and juicy, this was a good standard for buffet steak, which is usually precut and left under the heat lamps.
While carbs are usually a no-no at buffets, their fries were surprisingly moreish too!
Every fry was crisp on the outside but fluffy inside, with a subtle fattiness from the tallow.

Something unique is their lineup of 10 housemade dipping sauces, ranging from Thai Namjin to their signature Sambal Uleg Rawit.
All of them were surprisingly good and it was hard to pick a favourite! Each one was bright, flavourful and fresh, cutting through the meat’s fattiness.
If I had to narrow it to my personal Top 3, I’d go with the Sambal Balado, Thai Yellow Chilli and Sambal Cincalok.
These are all spicy but savoury, keeping every bite interesting and addictive.
Do note the steak selection is only available for dinner (6pm to 10pm).
Expanded Seafood Offerings

They’ve also added more seafood options to the lineup, totalling up to 15 types on display at one time!
Look forward to Boston Lobster, Prawns, Mussels and Scallops.
Honestly, while the selection was impressive, I feel the flavours fell flat. The crustaceans were not as sweet or briny as anticipated, although I would go for the prawns.
New Ginger Signatures

The dinner menu welcomes new permanent additions: 6-Hour Slow-Cooked Beef Rendang and Sarawak White Pepper Boston Lobster.
Inspired by familiar South East Asian flavours, both dishes are a must-try.
The rendang had fall-apart tender beef and an incredibly rich, spicy gravy that paired perfectly with their Butterfly Pea Nasi Lemak Rice. I also liked the punchy notes of pepper with the sweet lobster!
