Located along a quiet corner of Orchard Central is FYP (For You People), a new cafe concept by local businesses BigBigFries and Whiskdom! The space serves up both savoury dishes and baked goods you can enjoy.
Glamping-Themed Interior Decor
For You People is mostly ‘outdoors’, located beside the ledge on the fourth floor of Orchard Central.
The space is glamping-themed and it’s executed down to the furniture! All of the seating is beige camping chairs, low metal tables and even little camping lamps.
Despite how exposed the seating was, it was very comfortable and almost cosy. There’s also wifi and outlet plugs if you’re looking to get work done!
For You People Menu
The menu includes the signature BigBigFries ($12.90), where you can choose two sauces to garnish your long fries including mentaiko mayonnaise and truffle mayonnaise.
There’s also an extensive selection of mains including bagels, grain bowls and sides. Choose from the Classic Beef Steak Bagel ($12.90) or the Chick Cheese Bagel ($11.90).
Those who want something more substantial can get their grain bowls with protein options like Honey Smoked Duck Grain Bowl ($14.90) and Mentaiko Salmon ($15.90). The side selection has Beef Tots ($9.90) and Mentai Tamago ($6.90).
Their drink menu offers the usual coffee options including White ($5.50, Mocha ($6) or Strawberry Latte ($6.90). There’s also brewed tea, Matcha and iced drinks like Sparkling Yuzu ($6.90) and Lychee Oolong ($6.90).
Whiskdom is offering its menu of loaded cookies and flowy brownies, which you can alone ($6) or boxes of 6 ($38). The flavours include the Hojicha Lava cookie, Chocolate Smores cookie and the Speculoos Delight brownie. 
For extra indulgence, you can even opt to upgrade your cookie to a cookie sandwich ($12)! There’s a choice of 2 gelatos and 2 toppings, from a few unique gelato flavours like Brown Butter Pretzel and White Chrysanthemum.
Sparkling Strawberry
For drinks, we tried the Sparkling Strawberry ($6.90) with strawberry syrup and carbonated water.
It wasn’t too sweet and very refreshing, and the syrup did not have an excessively artificial taste!
Mentaiko Beef Grain Bowl
The Mentaiko Beef Grain Bowl ($15.90) came with an assortment of tomatoes, corn, onsen egg and sauteed mushrooms.
This bowl exceeded our expectations! The beef was cooked perfectly and was tender, complimented by the salty umami from the mentaiko sauce and creamy egg yolk.
We also felt the sauteed mushrooms added a pleasant earthiness to the dish, making it a super satisfying meal!
Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookie
Our highlight of the meal was definitely the Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookie ($6).
The cookie was hefty, definitely living up to its name. If you’re a fan of dense cookies, this one is for you!
It was slightly crunchy on the outside and soft inside, scattered generously with chocolate chips. The cookie wasn’t too sweet and had a pleasant chocolatey flavour which makes it a must-order from here.
Cosy Cafe In Orchard
For You People has created the perfect cafe space where you can enjoy a hearty meal or a simple dessert, in a central location! We think it’s a great spot if you’re looking for cafes to chill at while doing your weekend shopping.
