Fi Woodfire Thai, Singapore’s first woodfire Thai restaurant, is reopening at a new location – Shaw Centre, Orchard! They made their move from Robertson Quay, bringing their unique take on Thai food to their new home.
Starting 8 July 2025, diners can enjoy their signature smoky dishes alongside new items on the menu!
Fi Woodfire Thai Menu
The restaurant continues to use its custom-built, double-insulated woodfire oven that reaches up to 450°C, giving every dish its signature smoky flavour and juicy finish.
A speciality of their grill is the use of lychee wood, providing a sweet fragrance.
The Woodfire Oven Menu includes items like Iberico Pork Abanico (180g) ($28), Fragrant Garlic Prawn ($24), and Basil Minced Pork on Charred Eggplant ($18).
Other items on the menu include Papaya Som Tum Salad ($12), Pad Thai ($14), and Drunken Noodles ($14), among many other classic reiterations of Thai cuisine.
They also have desserts like Red Ruby ($12), and a range of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.
Appetisers
Watermelon with Fish Floss
The Watermelon with Fish Floss ($14) was one of our favourites. It’s chilled watermelon cubes served with tom yum fried fish floss! Every bite was juicy, sweet, and refreshingly unique.
Son-in-Law Egg (3pc)
Son-in-Law Egg ($10) are deep-fried jammy eggs with a crispy outside and a creamy inside. This was delicious as well!
The richness of the yolk balanced nicely with the strawberry tamarind sauce and crispy fried curry leaves.
Grilled Green Mango Salad
Tangy, crunchy, and sour, the Grilled Green Mango Salad ($12) was quite addictive.
The grilled mango added a light smokiness, but it’s definitely on the sour side, so it’s best suited for those who enjoy zesty flavours!
Woodfired Mains
Signature “Moo Ping” Rib
Grilled until tender, the Signature ‘Moo Ping’ Duroc Pork Rib ($48) was another one of our favourites.
The meat fell off the bone easily, with an enjoyable layer of caramelised fat on top. The marinade was tangy, fresh, and flavourful, and paired together with a side of grilled rice cakes.
It was incredibly satisfying. We highly recommend this dish!
French Poulet (Half)
The French Poulet ($32) was extremely tender and came with a housemade chicken liver jaew sauce that added a rich, umami kick.
The chicken is delivered fresh daily from the owner’s family farm, and it shows in the sweet taste and tender texture. Some of the best chicken we’ve had in a while!
From the Wok
Pineapple Rice Stack
The Pineapple Rice Stack ($24) is a layered twist on the classic pineapple fried rice.
This colourful stack came with shrimp, ikura and tobiko, adding a pleasant pop and bounciness to the dish. The fried rice itself was fragrant, perfumed with an impressive wok-hey and sweetness from pineapple chunks!
Desserts
Mango & Butterfly Pea Sticky Rice
Mango & Butterfly Pea Sticky Rice ($12) was served with a colourful twist of butterfly pea rice. The mango was fresh and sweet, and paired nicely with the light flowery fragrance!
Sweet Tapioca
The Sweet Tapioca ($12) was a simple but well-executed dessert. It featured soft, chewy tapioca topped with coconut gelato. It felt familiar and comforting, especially with the creamy gelato!
Red Ruby
The Red Ruby ($12) was our favourite. Every bite was refreshing and fruity, with freshly made red ruby, chia seed sago and fruit bits in a rich coconut milk.
Their red rubies are chewy outside but crunchy inside. A great way to end the meal on a light and satisfying note.
Beverages
Iced Matcha Thai Tea
With the matcha craze everywhere lately, we weren’t expecting much from the Iced Matcha Thai Tea ($8) but we were pleasantly surprised.
The matcha cream was rich and velvety, pairing surprisingly well with the classic Thai milk tea.
Fresh Coconut with Matcha Cream
Another unique take, the Fresh Coconut with Matcha Cream ($10) is served in a whole coconut and topped with thick matcha cream. Refreshing, indulgent, and a unique taste!
