Bulgogi Syo has opened a new outlet in Suntec City, introducing new smoked meat dishes prepared with its signature 3-step process: sear, torch, and flambé.
The outlet also features lunch set menus that include seaweed soup, soft drinks, seaweed rice, and free-flow banchan starting at only $12.90++!
Personal Hotstone Menu
Smoked Duroc Pork Belly
The Smoked Duroc Pork Belly ($19.90) featured tender pork slices with a light char and a distinct smoky aroma that enhanced its rich flavour.
The balanced fat-to-meat ratio offered a satisfying bite, accompanied by a bowl of fluffy seaweed rice, adding a subtle umami note that tied the dish together.
Chicken Dakgalbi
The Smoked Chicken Dakgalbi ($14.90), featured tender chicken, infused with smoky flavours. While the dish could be elevated with a saucier coating, the chicken was well-marinated and flavourful on its own.
Each hotstone was accompanied by a sweet tamago egg, fresh chives, tangy kimchi, and pumpkin. The pumpkin could benefit from a softer texture that could have made it even more enjoyable.
Pork Collar Yangnyeom Moksal
The Pork Collar Yangnyeom Moksal ($16.90) had a firm texture that emphasized its smoky, charred edges. It was paired with a sunny-side-up egg, offering a savoury contrast compared to the sweeter tamago.
Smoked Scallop Mentai Mayo
The Smoked Scallop Mentai Mayo featured fresh scallops paired with a creamy mentai mayo sauce.
The sauce offered a pleasant kick of spice that enhanced the scallops’ natural flavors, while the pickled cabbage added a refreshing bite, creating a well-rounded dish.
