Surf & Turf Platter
From 1 Dec 2022 to 31 Jan 2023, indulge in a Surf & Turf Platter ($338++ for 2 to 3 persons), a sharing dish featuring items from both land and sea. The platter features items like 72-hour Slow-Cooked Black Angus Short Ribs, Australian Rock Lobster Thermidor, Italian Pork Sausages, Chargrilled Baby Gems alongside house-made Cornbread, pickles, and three curated sauces.
Using Australian Barley-Fed Black Angus Short Ribs, they are first seared before being slow-cooked in the oven with mirepoix and red wine at 55 degrees for 72 hours. To provide a smokier taste, they are then grilled over applewood fire and coated in a house-made barbecue sauce, then grilled under the salamander for caramelization.
As for the Lobster Thermidor, it uses a whole Australian Rock Lobster where the meat is cubed and sauteed with garlic, celery, carrots, and flambeed with brandy. Before being served, the meat is topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheese, and broiled till golden and bubbling.
The accompanying menu items were all equally well done when we tried them, especially the house-made cornbread with its slightly crispy exterior and savoury flavours thanks to the help of cheddar cheese and sour cream.
Dynamite Bombe Alaska
Bedrock Origin is also launching the Dynamite Bombe Alaska. Coming in 3 different sizes serving 4 to 6 ($89++), 8 to 10 ($139++), and 12 to 16 ($199++), this is touted as Singapore’s largest Bombe Alaska. Inside it is raspberry white chocolate ice cream, vanilla sponge cake, mini chocolate pearls, meringue with rum poured tableside and lit for a classic flambe!
Do note that this requires a three-day advanced order.
There’s also a Nutty Chocolate Crumble Cake in a Box ($36++, 5-inch) which is perfect for 2 to 3 pax. This is a moist and dense cake with chocolate chips, pecans, and walnuts. Perfect for every chocolate and nut lover’s dream.
The Nutty Chocolate Crumble Cake requires a one-day advanced order for dine-in and takeaway.
With its location in Sentosa, Bedrock Origin also has more seafood options, and here are some items you can consider:
Kingfish Sashimi
With plump slices of Kingfish lightly marinated in blended wasabi stem and paired with a ceviche soy dressing, the Kingfish Sashimi ($32++) dish is a perfect starter to your festive meal at Bedrock Origin.
King Crab Cake
Follow it with a King Crab Cake ($38++) where Japanese King crab meat is mixed with shallots, coriander, breadcrumbs, Dijon mustard, mayo, Worcestershire sauce, and lime juice, shaped and deep-fried to perfection. Served alongside a side salad and apple tartare sauce.
Grilled Whole Aged Grouper
The Grilled Whole Aged Grouper ($130++) is first brined overnight and dry-aged for 3 to 5 days, before being lightly seasoned with salt and grilled over applewood fire. The dry aging process helps to intensify the fish’s natural flavour and texture, and the meat simply flakes off easily. It was served with garlic dill butter atop, and what a creamy, buttery treat it was.
Gorgeous Restaurant in Sentosa
