Beloved sandwich brand Park Bench Deli is back (for a little while)! They are hosting a pop-up at The Pantry in Dempsey, bringing back the hearty sandwiches that they’ve been known for.
Park Bench Deli Dempsey Pop-Up Menu

This menu is a condensed list of their most signature items with a breakfast (9am to 4pm) menu and sandwiches (11am to 4pm) menu.
They offer a Kid’s Menu with adorable names like I Don’t Know ($15, Peanut butter and jelly with cornflake-coated milk bread) and I Am Not Hungry ($15, chicken tenders and fries).
Choose from sides like Dirty Pastrami Fries ($16) and Chinese Chicken Salad ($24), a take on the popular American staple.
Rosita’s Deluxe makes a comeback from 6pm onwards on Fridays to Sundays, serving smash cheeseburgers.

Breakfast Menu

We tried the PB Big Breakfast ($32) with mini versions of their lemon ricotta pancakes and housemade maple sausages.
Despite its simple appearance, this stands as one of the best big breakfast plates we’ve had!
The pancakes were fluffy and not too sweet, perfect with the salty herby sausage patties.

The breakfast selection also includes the Breakfast Bahn Mi ($24) and Sausage Egg Muffin ($24), featuring breads from local bakers and silky scrambled eggs.
Sandwich Menu

Longtime fans will be happy to know their Pastrami Reuben Sandwich ($34) will be available!
It’s the definition of a balanced sandwich. The tender, smoky slices of house-smoked pastrami are complemented by a crunchy old-school coleslaw and rich Russian dressing, creating a meaty bite that’s not too much.

The Hot Fried Chicken ($26) was a hefty one, featuring a fried chicken thigh doused in a fiery chilli oil.
This was crunchy, juicy and very spicy. It was a bit much for our xiao la palettes but their chilli oil was very flavourful, making it moreish and worth the burn.
Other classic sandwiches like Philly Cheesesteak ($29) and Cold Turkey ($26) are also available.

After its sudden closure in 2023, we’re glad that Park Bench Deli has made a comeback – even if just temporarily! Their sandwiches are some of the best we’ve had and the space is suitable for families and gatherings.
