In celebration of International Women’s Day, Shangri-La Singapore is hosting a Korean buffet with chef Nicky Kim, a Korean-born chef!
The buffet will run until 29 March 2026.
Shangri-La Singapore Korean Buffet Menu

The Seoulful Feast is priced at $68++ per person for lunch and $98++ per person for dinner.
The buffet selection includes over 12 classic Korean dishes, with select dishes prepared at their live stations.
Chef Nicky wanted to ensure the menu was as authentic as possible, choosing to make sauces and marinades in-house from scratch.

The stations include essential Korean garnishes such as freshly made kimchi and banchan.
Some unique banchan are lotus root jorim (seasoned lotus root) and marinated perilla leaves, which aren’t commonly seen in Singapore!

Highlights include charcoal-grilled meats such as Samgyeopsal (pork belly) and bone-in, marinated Galbi, perfectly charred with a smoky, juicy centre.
We enjoyed our meats in a ssam with fresh perilla leaves and ssamjang – the classic, satisfying Korean BBQ experience.

They also serve Tteokbokki in giant pots, reminiscent of those you find at Korean street food stalls.
We liked how well-balanced the sauce was. Not too sweet or spicy, with added umami from their housemade broth.
Paired with the chewy rice cakes and quail eggs, it was only missing some twigim (Korean fritters) for dipping!

Their Samgyetang is double-boiled with the essential herbs, creating a light and nourishing soup to cleanse the palate between bites.
Their hot dish selection includes Soondubu Jjigae and Japchae, but our must-try is the Galbijjim.

This iteration has Wagyu short ribs stewed in Chef Nicky’s special gravy with mushrooms and radish.
The meat was fork-tender, with a robust beefy flavour that complemented the slightly sweet sauce. It was thick, rich and infused with a deep umami from the soy sauce that had us going back for more.
It’s common buffet practice to avoid carbs, but we promise that rice with this galbijjim is 100% worth the stomach space.

Other options to enjoy include bibimbap, kimbap and Haemul Pajeon (seafood pancake), alongside the usual continental buffet offerings.
