Artbox is back this year, under the name Artbox Everyday 2025! The highly anticipated event will be hosted at Expo across two weekends: 17 to 19 January and 24 to 26 January 2025.
Here’s an overview of what you can do there:
Direct Bus To Artbox
Artbox has launched ARTBOX Express, a shuttle bus service between Expo and *SCAPE!
The service costs $0.50 and will run at regular intervals from 11.30am (*SCAPE) and 1pm (Expo). Check the website for the exact schedule.
The two buses will feature decor by Chang Bee and PacificLight, while the *SCAPE bus stop will host art from 32 artists and even have live music.
Immersive Art Installations
This year’s Artbox is inspired by familiar scenes in the Singaporean heartlands, hence the name ‘Everyday’.
The ARTBOX Estate is the first area by the entrance, housing the iconic Hero Structure (a three-storey stack of shipping containers).
The surrounding spaces are designed like a Singaporean neighbourhood, with a colourful basketball court and themed shophouses.
There are over 10 things to do in the ARTBOX Estate alone!
Highlights include Open Mic sessions by Teo Heng, a Gamestop area with VR games, retro arcade machines and even a chess club.
SongHe (yes, the rice brand!) is hosting its own immersive experience with cash prizes and official merchandise; the Singapore Red Cross will also have a blood donation drive during the second weekend.
This isn’t even covering the many workshops available including perfume making and custom postcards from recycled plastic bags.
Fashion & Lifestyle Brands
Artbox isn’t complete without some shopping and this edition brings over 190 creative brands from Singapore and Asia!
You can look forward to brands from Hong Kong, Korea and Thailand.
Brand highlights include fragrances from THE SCENTIST (Hong Kong), Korean skincare from N7 and even digital camcorders from Singaporean brand Thrifted Clicks!
There are also plenty of fashion options, including Dat Clothing (Thailand) and LazyMe Studio (Thailand).
If you’re into crafts and trinkets, there will also be booths with handcrafted candles, crochet pieces, jewellery and more!
Artbox Food Options
The food lineup this year is exciting, with a full selection of Thai and local foodie eateries.
One of these brands is After You, famous for its thick-cut Shibuya Toast with ice cream! We tried the Honey Toast ($10) and it tasted almost the same as in Bangkok – crunchy, sweet and indulgent.
Some other dishes we tried included the Basil Pork with Creamy Omelette Egg ($10) and Salted Egg Pork Belly Rice ($11) from Chris Pork Belly & Sausages from Indonesia!
Familiar names like Swag Social and Fortuna will also be present, plus specialty foods like sushi tacos, freshly baked pizza and crepes.
Live Performances
There will also be live music acts, including names like Priscilla Abby, Alex Hong and even standup comedian Jason Leong!
The performances include Singaporean brands and DJs so you’re sure to be entertained through your time there.
