A few months ago, a construction scaffold was quietly put up in Orchard Central, teasing at the opening of a certain froyo brand called Yo-Chi. We later learned that it was the official first outlet of the cult-favourite Australian froyo and acai store, now officially open to the public!
Australian Frozen Yoghurt Chain
Yo-Chi has a cult following in Australia, with outlets boasting long queues.
The Singapore branch features a cheerful, bright interior with distinctly Australian touches, including colourful murals and a playful statue of its mascot.
It operates on a pay-by-weight system; just fill your cup with froyo and your preferred toppings, then pay at the counter.
Yo-Chi Menu
The pricing is $3.50 per 100 grams.
All the yoghurt is made with 100% real Australian milk, available in 9 flavours ranging from Signature Tart to Mango and even Cookies & Cream.
They also have acai for those who prefer a dairy-free option.
You can take however much you want; mix and match flavours or take a bit of everything!
We tried the Signature Tart, Strawberry and Matcha. The Signature was creamy and not icy like other froyo we’ve had, without that overbearing yogurt taste.
We also liked how it wasn’t too sweet or too tart, although some might enjoy a sharper flavour.
Flavour-wise, the Matcha and Salted Butterscotch were surprisingly good too!
Toppings
There are over 25 toppings to choose from, including fresh fruit, Biscoff sauce and popping pearls.
Signature Yo-Chi toppings include the Cookie Dough, Caramelised Nuts and Crumble.
Our must-get are the Cookie Cakes, which are basically brownies. These were served warm so they were rich and fudgy – super tasty with the froyo!
The Singapore Yo-Chi is also one of only three outlets with a Nutella fountain, so you can go ham if you’re a fan.
Froyo In Singapore
With its dazzling selection of toppings and quality yoghurt, Yo-Chi is the perfect post-meal sweet treat that’s good for solo enjoyment or sharing.
