One of China’s biggest and fastest growing Suan Cai Yu chain, Xiao Yu Hao (小鱼号), has officially opened its doors in Singapore at Collyer Quay!
Xiao Yu Hao has rapidly become a household name for Suan Cai Yu across China with over 800 outlets in just five years.
Xiao Yu Hao Menu
While Suan Cai Yu is usually served in large, communal portions, Xiao Yu Hao was the first in China to offer it as a quick-service, single-portion format.
There are five signature broths to choose from, each paired with various ingredients and protein options.
Prices vary depending on the add-ons, with the most affordable choice being the Sauerkraut White Fish in Golden Broth at just $9.90.
Diners can select from four protein options: Black Fish, White Fish, Marbled Beef, or a Fish & Beef Combo. Pair their broths with the signature five grain noodles or rice noodles, depending on the broth type.
All specialty soups are served with tofu puffs, sweet potato vermicelli, woodear mushroom, enoki mushroom and more.
Other add-ons like Cheese Tofu ($2.50), Lobster Balls ($2.50) and Wu Chang Rice ($1.50) are also available.

The broth is savoury with just the right amount of sourness, delivering a well-balanced, flavourful soup.
The fish is soft and fresh without being overly fishy, making this a safe and satisfying option for those who enjoy Suan Cai Yu!
White Fish in Sichuan Spicy Broth
The White Fish in Sichuan Spicy Broth ($11.20) is perfect for people craving some spice. It has a deep, numbing and peppery aroma.
The white fish is tender and mild, balancing the fiery broth, while the vegetables and vermicelli soak up the soup perfectly.
Black Fish in Spicy Lemon Broth
A Xiao Yu Hao original creation, the Black Fish in Spicy Lemon Broth ($13.80) offers a bright twist on Suan Cai Yu.
The citrusy flavour cuts through the spice, making each sip refreshing yet bold.
Paired with tender black fish, this bowl is a standout choice for those who want something more refreshing and unique.
Black Fish in Miao Style Red Sour Broth
The Black Fish in Miao Style Red Sour Broth ($$14.20) is a naturally fermented Miao-style broth that delivers a kick with a rich, earthy undertone.
It’s free of preservatives and a great choice for those who enjoy sour and spicy flavours!
Marbled Beef Five Grain Rice Noodles in Vit C Tomato Broth
The Marbled Beef Five Grain Rice Noodles in Vit C Tomato Broth ($13.80) was one of our favourites. The broth is rich and paired deliciously with the beef slices.
