Everybody knows Popeyes for their fried chicken and biscuits, but they’re adding an exciting new section to their menu: breakfast! The new Popeyes Breakfast Symphony offerings have launched with a hearty selection of breakfast sandwiches, platters and more.
Popeyes Breakfast Menu
The breakfast brings nine new items to Popeyes, starting with breakfast sandwiches.
Choose from the Signature Poppy Sausage Stack ($9.50 a la carte, $11.50 meal) that features two herb-infused chicken sausages and fresh egg between soft brioche buns.
They also have a Poppy Bacon & Egg Muffin ($5.90 a la carte, $7.90 meal) for something lighter but equally filling.
If you’re wondering what Poppy refers to, it’s Popeye’s cute bird mascot!
Their breakfast platters range from the Classic Poppy Platter ($8.90 a la carte, $10.90 meal) with pancakes to the Ultimate Poppy Waffles Platter ($10.90 a la carte, $12.90 meal) that includes a freshly-cooked waffle.
If that’s too heavy, try the Poppy Chicken Porridge ($3.90 a la carte, $5.90 meal). It’s a twist on traditional morning porridges with cereals, crispy youtiao and fried chicken chunks!
Breakfast isn’t complete without sides and drinks! Choose from their freshly-fried Hashbrowns ($2), also available with Cajun seasoning.
There’s also café drinks, including Iced Café Mocha and Iced Café Latte, alongside the Singaporean breakfast staple: Iced Milo!
Breakfast Sandwiches
We tried the Signature Poppy Cajun Stack ($8.90 a la carte, $10.90 meal), which was stacked with chicken sausage, Cajun Hashbrowns, an egg, and bacon.
Despite the simple looks, everything worked well together! The herbed chicken sausage added a nice meatiness and the Cajun hashbrown provided a spiced kick.
Everything was rounded out by the freshly cracked egg and smoky, crisp turkey bacon.
The brioche bun was also a pleasant surprise: soft, buttery, and fluffy!
The Poppy Sausage & Egg Muffin ($6.90 a la carte, $8.90) was simple but well-executed, with the same savoury sausage patty.
Ultimate Poppy Waffles Platter
The Ultimate Poppy Waffles Platter came with freshly-made waffles, a freshly-cracked egg, smoky turkey bacon and our choice of a juicy fried chicken thigh patty.
Each order takes about 15 minutes to prepare the waffles, and it’s worth the wait! They were fluffy with a slight sweetness that complemented the savoury and juicy thigh patty.
If you enjoy a savoury and sweet combo, you can’t go wrong with this classic pairing. We recommend drizzling some honey for an extra sweet finish.
Poppy Chicken Porridge
The Poppy Chicken Porridge was simple, fuss-free and comforting. It had a thick congee-like consistency but had a crunch from the youtiao and Buttermilk chicken pieces!
The added cereals also provided a nutritional boost. You can opt for it without chicken, but we recommend including it for a heartier meal.
