Crave has been a mainstay for fuss-free nasi lemak in Singapore, but it’s now expanded to offering freshly grilled seafood! You can try this heritage menu at its new Marina Bay Link Mall outlet.
Live Grill Station
Unlike their usual takeaway kiosks, this Crave outlet has dine-in seating. A special point is the live grill station, where you can watch staff flame-grill satay and seafood!
Despite their best efforts to keep the smoke separate, we did end up smelling like barbecue. Spoiler alert: it was worth it.
Crave Marina Bay Link Mall Menu
The mainstay nasi lemak options are still available but the highlight is the expanded menu selection.
First are the Grilled Satay, prepared fresh to order. Choose from Flame-Grilled Chicken ($5.90) or Beef ($6.90) Satay, served hawker center style with ketupat and peanut sauce.
There are also Signature Satay Chicken ($7.90) and Beef ($8.90) Goreng Bites, which are basically satay off the stick, for a more convenient eating experience. These are first grilled, then flash-fried for an extra crisp.
They even offer Sambal Seafood, ranging from Squid ($4) to Stingray ($6). These are available a la carte or as part of their Nasi Lemak, like Sambal Seabass Nasi Lemak ($11.90).
The newest selections are their noodles, including Laksa Supreme ($7.90) and Mee Soto Upsize w/ Drumstick ($7.90) whose recipes are derived from an award-winning brand.
Grilled Satay

We tried the classic Flame-Grilled Chicken ($5.90) and Beef ($6.90) Satay. The visuals were on point, with a caramelised exterior and appetising smell.
This was legit satay! The meat was tender and well marinated with sweet, fragrant notes of lemongrass, and a deep smokiness from the grill.
Sambal Seafood
The Sambal Seafood selection was definitely the highlight. Our favourite was the Sambal Stingray ($6), with a punchy sambal and smokey grilled meat. The stingray was a tad tough but the sambal was flavourful! Savoury, just a bit sweet and a kick of spice.
Their Sambal Squid ($4) and Sambal Prawn are also good. It’s once again reminiscent of the flavours you find at stalls in Newton Food Center, albeit in smaller portions.
It went perfectly with their signature coconut rice and a runny fried egg.
Noodles
The Laska Supreme ($7.90) had a thick gravy with a generous amount of ingredients, but we felt it lacked a spicy punch for a more satisfying flavour.
The Mee Rebus Upsize w/ Chicken Drumstick ($7.90) was practically overflowing! The gravy is sweet and flavourful but paled in comparison to the sambal seafood.
Nasi Lemak In Marina Bay
If you work in the area, Crave definitely makes for a good lunch option! There are seats for both solo and group diners, plus the food is sure to satisfy.
