Known for their artisanal cakes and pastries, nesuto has opened a new outlet at ION Orchard. This is their third outlet and features a new concept called Cafe Nesuto, with a savoury menu and outlet-exclusive desserts.
Interior
The outlet features soft curves, layered marble and warm natural woods to create a comfortable atmosphere for guests.
It’s a cosy space with a homely feel, making it a welcoming spot for a quick stop for dessert or a leisurely meal.
Cafe Nesuto ION Orchard Menu
The new savoury menu features mains, including dishes like Braised Miso Chicken Leg ($24) and Cauliflower Noisette Risotto ($26).
There’s even a dedicated brunch menu with items like Spicy Scrambled Eggs on Toast ($12) and Nesuto’s Signature Quiche (Price varies) with different fillings!
They also have plated desserts like Matcha Red Bean Cake and Dark Chocolate Cake with Creme Caramel Pudding ($15).
There are a variety of drinks available and we found the Hot Tea ($9.90) options particularly interesting because of their individual notes.
There were blends like Boléro and Marco Polo with floral notes, and Vert Provence and Earl Grey French Blue with citrusy notes. There were also caffeine free options available.
You can check out their full menu here.
Brunch
From the brunch menu, we tried the Vanilla French Toast with Maple & Seasonal Fruit ($16) and House-Cured Salmon Egg Benedict ($25).
On our visit, the French Toast was served with strawberry compote and topped with strawberries.
Strawberry compote is usually overly sweet to counter its natural tartness, but this one surprisingly wasn’t!
It was well-balanced and actually tasty, pairing well with the sour cream vanilla chantilly and the soft and fluffy brioche.
The Salmon Egg Benedict had a generous amount of salmon and perfectly cooked eggs.
The dish incorporated Japanese flavours with a Yuzu Hollandaise sauce and a touch of Ikura, which elevated the overall dish.
Small Plates
The Braised Oxtail Open-Face Pie ($16) is an ION Orchard exclusive and was our favourite!
Featuring pickled mustard seeds and a creamy potato sauce, every bite was a burst of flavour.
The flaky pie crust also complemented the tender braised oxtail and made this dish enjoyable.
Other options for small plates include Cold Strawberry Basil Oyster ($12) and Chicken Open-Face Pie ($14).
Desserts

Cafe Nesuto has widened their dessert offerings with outlet-exclusive desserts like Singapore Sling Cake and Banana Cream Pie Soft Serve Parfait ($15).
We tried the Strawberry Crumble Tart ($12) and Passionfruit & Vanilla Cake and were thoroughly impressed!
The promised flavours really came through and weren’t overly sweet, making them both good options for a post-meal dessert.
Beverages
We had the Muscat White Oolong Cold Brew Tea ($8) and Iced Kyoto Uji Matcha Latte ($8.50), made with matcha powder sourced directly from Japan.
The Muscat White Oolong had a subtle sweetness and was a nice palate cleanser, but the Matcha Latte wasn’t particularly enjoyable as it was diluted and lacked a notable matcha taste.
Cafe In Orchard
With good food and a cosy ambience, the new Cafe Nesuto outlet is a charming spot to relax and unwind, making it one that definitely deserves a place on your next cafe hop!
