AMOR is a new Spanish restaurant in Telok Ayer serving tapas and Mediterranean-inspired dishes.
The name means ‘love’ in Spanish, reflected in their menu of familiar Spanish flavours with small, thoughtful twists.
Bright & Cosy Interior

The walls are painted in welcoming colours of blue, red and gold. Seats are split between semi-private booths and group tables, designed for intimated gatherings!
There’s also a small open kitchen where you can see the chefs working.
AMOR Menu
The menu is compact, focusing on Spanish tapas and Mediterranean-style dishes.
Tapas options include Jamón Ibérico Croquettes ($14/2pcs) and Fresh Mussels ‘Anchovy Meuniere’ ($28), which pair well with Homemade Sourdough ($12) and Chorizo Bellota 100% Ibérico ($24).

We tried the Gambas Al Ajillo ($34) with smoked potato foam, a nice twist on the classic.
The dish kept its rich, garlicky flavour, complemented by the creamy potato, though the prawns were slightly overcooked.

One of the more interesting dishes was the Escalivada Tarta ($16/2pcs), a delicate tart layered with foie gras mousse and smoky roasted vegetables, resulting in a rich, flavourful bite.

Another unexpected dish was the Happy Eggggg ($18).
Instead of a frittata, it arrived in a sleek cocktail glass, combining onsen egg, truffle cream and crispy jamón. Crunchy sourdough and a light dill salad helped balance the richness.

Mediterranean mains include Pulpo de Galicia ($32), featuring grilled octopus and vegetables.
While we found the octopus a little chewy, it carried a deep smokiness from the paprika.
Salmon is less common in tapas, but the Tea-Smoked King Salmon with Avruga Caviar ($34) stood out!
The fish was spoon-tender with a gentle smokiness, balanced by a punchy wasabi cream.

No Spanish meal feels complete without Paella, and theirs (from $42) was solid.
The squid ink rice was savoury and umami, topped generously with prawns, sea bass and squid, though the rice leaned slightly gummy for our liking.

Dessert is worth saving room for, especially the Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($16). Oozy centre, not too sweet and tied together with nice savoury notes, this was indulgent and satisfying.
Other dessert options include the Hazelnut & Almond Lava Cake ($18) and Pan con Chocolate ($18).
Tapas is designed for drinks, and they have an extensive menu of Spanish wines and even housemade cocktails!
