From January 8th to February 28th, home-based business “Happy Low Carb Time” will be having a pop-up at Baker X in Orchard Central with a selection of low-sugar, keto-friendly baked treats!
The brand is the brainchild of Lucy Asnum, who created these desserts in consideration of her children’s dietary restrictions. All her desserts incorporate classic flavours in guilt-free variations but with the same satisfaction.
Some items you can look forward to include Pandan Orh Nee Cake ($9 per slice) with pandan chiffon and fresh mascarpone whipped with yam paste; Matcha Chocolate Cake ($9 per slice) and Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake ($9.50 per slice).

The Lychee Rose Cake ($9) features layers of fresh cream with lychee bits, enriching the texture. Despite being keto, the cake texture was soft and fluffy! It had a distinct lychee taste that was pleasantly balanced, though the rose notes were subtle.
If you’re in the mood for something decadent and chocolatey, try the Royal Keto Chocolate Feuillitine Cake ($9.50), crafted with Valrhona and Lindt dark chocolate. It boasts two layers of keto sachertorte and a crunchy keto feutilletine base for an added texture.
One of their best-sellers was the Chocolate Fudge Cupcake ($5.50 each). It had a robust chocolate taste from Valrhona cocoa powder and an enjoyable, fudgy texture.
Another of her best sellers is the Orh Nee Tart ($8.50 per slice), packed with creamy, rich orh nee filling. It was fragrant yet not excessively sweetened. We even got a hint of saltiness that balanced out the richness. The crust also had a good butteriness and crunch.
For those who love Gula Melaka, the Ondeh Ondeh Cake ($9 per slice) will be up your alley with a layer of keto-friendly Gula Melaka and soft pandan sponge cake.
The Lychee Jelly Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($9 per slice) has a refreshing taste of lychee that complements the creamy richness of the cheesecake.
