Renowned for its 28-year-old fried yong tofu recipe, Fu Lin Restaurant & Bar has opened its sixth location in Clarke Quay. Almost every day, starting at 8:30pm, you can enjoy live bands and DJ performances!
Sleek, Industrial Aesthetics
The restaurant sports a modern interior featuring wooden and black furnishings, accented by striking red elements for a pop of colour.
Although dimly lit, it maintains a brightness that creates an intimate atmosphere, perfect for enjoying the live band. It’s an excellent spot for a night out!
Fu Lin Restaurant & Bar Menu
The menu features a variety of Asian fusion dishes, such as Xiao Long Bao ($12) and XO Carrot Cake ($15), along with new bespoke signature cocktails like the Ondeh Ondeh ($25) and Pisang Goreng Cocktails ($25).
Beyond Asian fusion, the selection extends to pasta like Cold Pasta Ikura ($24) and Ravioli ($23), meat grills including Lamb Rack ($36), and seafood options such as Fish & Chips ($24) and BBQ Squid ($23)!
Fried Yong Tofu
The Fried Yong Tofu ($14) boast a medley of sizeable ingredients including bitter gourd, beancurd skin and seaweed chicken. It’s served with a blanket of gravy made with a 28 year old recipe, delivering a savoury umami taste that we thoroughly enjoyed!
Firecracker Chicken
One of our favourite dishes was the Firecracker Chicken ($18)! Featuring generous and sizeable chunks, each piece was tender and full of authentic flavour.
The spice level subtly intensifies as you eat, creating an addictive quality that keeps you reaching for more. For those who enjoy a spicy kick, we highly recommend trying this dish!
Fu Lin Noodles
If you’re in the mood for something light, try the Fu Lin Noodles ($7). The noodles came covered in gravy, enhanced with minced meat, ikan bilis, and mushrooms for extra texture! However, we wished that the gravy could have a stronger flavour.
Sichuan String Beans
The Sichuan String Beans ($15), though simple, pack a flavourful punch! Stir-fried with peppercorns and chilli flakes, they had a subtle spiciness and a faint numbing sensation.
The contrasting textures of crunchy outside and tender inside goes well with the minced chicken.
Live Band & DJ Performances
Every Tuesday to Saturday, enjoy live bands and DJ sets featuring a mix of Mando Canto and English music – ideal for relaxing after a busy workday.
