Fat Prince is a Mediterranean restaurant in Maxwell is back! After a brief rebrand (and a name change), the space is officially back with its menu of classic takes on Middle Eastern favourites, making it a good pick for casual date nights or group dinners.
Moody, Stylish Interior

Located along Peak Seah Street, Fat Prince has an unassuming exterior with no obvious signage.
You might remember it as The Prince but they’re back with a new and improved vibe!
The space is dark, moody and stylish, complete with touches of Middle Eastern decor. Aside from the bar in the front, there are also plenty of group tables toward the back.
Fat Prince Menu
The Fat Prince menu is small and focused. Their mezze selection includes Chicken Skewers ($16/piece), Beef Skewers ($18/piece) and Falafel ($16).
This also includes classic dips like Labneh ($12) and Muhammara ($14) with freshly-baked breads (from $5).
The concept here is to select a few dishes and combine them to make a platter!
You can also build your own kebabs with their sets, which include one protein, fresh pita and accompanying garnishes.
Choose from Grilled King Oyster Mushroom ($32) and Fried Red Snapper ($48).
They also have larger plates like a Moroccan Chicken Tagine ($48) and a Lamb Porterhouse ($18/100g) served alongside a spiced carrot puree.

If you can’t decide, go for their Feed Me ($78/person) menu, which features six chef-curated courses.
Feed Me Chef’s Menu
We tried the Feed Me menu shared amongst 7 people. The courses spanned from mezze to mains and even desserts!

Their Cashew Hummus ($14) and Baba Ganoush ($14) were well done. Their hummus was a standout and one of the best we’ve tried so far!
We highly recommend getting their breads, especially the Egyptian House Rolls ($8). Soft, crisp and perfect with the slightly sweet date butter.
Their Fried Cauliflower ($16) and Halloumi ($16) were moreish sides, both served with flavourful dips.

We then had a platter of Chicken ($16), Beef ($18) and Lamb ($18) skewers.
Our pick would be the chicken, with a slightly sweet and smoky glaze.
The other meats were also incredibly well-seasoned but were a tad salty for our taste.
We liked their accompanying sauces – lebanese garlic toum, mint tzatziki and cumin chermola – that elevated the flavours!

The build your own kebab set featured a Wagyu Beef Cheek ($68). This was melt-in-your-mouth tender in a rich brown sauce.
It was fun to create the mini kebab with the given sauces and garnishes. We do acknowledge the portion size is small for the price, though.

Another unexpected highlight was the Coal-Fried Branzino ($15/100g)!
This was fully deboned and had a great crisp, charred skin but soft sweet meat.

The Dubai Chocolate Knafeh ($15) was the perfect finish to the meal.
Served on a hotplate with a drizzle of chocolate sauce, every bite was decadent and crunchy.
The small chunks of cheese helped to cut through the sweetness for a balanced bite!
