While Korean marts are aplenty in Singapore, there are just some things you can’t get from those places. If you’re a fan of Korean brands and lifestyle items, BlueBasket is an online Korean Lifestyle Marketplace you should definitely check out.
What is BlueBasket?
BlueBasket is an online website that brands itself as a Korean Lifestyle Marketplace. They introduce premium Korean brands, from Jeju tangerines to lifestyle items like kitchenware and more.
The items are shipped directly from Korea.
Some Products Sold On BlueBasket
BlueBasket offers a range of products, and some of them are only available for a limited amount of time. Previously, they introduced a range of handmade jams from a brand called Sunday Jam. The jams were made using organically grown fruits and contain no preservatives. Sadly, they are no longer available on the website.
Here are some of the products that you can find on Blue Basket now:
These Jeju tangerines are air-flown fresh from South Korea, within 2 days after harvesting. Guess we don’t need to fly to Jeju to get a taste of Jeju.
Currently, they are selling the Red Hyang Jeju Premium Tangerines, a type of tangerine that is only available for harvest in winter. According to BlueBasket, Red Hyang Tangerines are a crossbreed between the iconic Jeju tangerine, the Hallabong and Korean’s favourite Noji Tangerines.
They have a red-tinted peel on the outside. On the inside, the fruit has a sweet, chewy, and firm-textured thick flesh.
Home Croffle Kit
Croffles used to be a thing in Singapore a few years back, but these desserts are all the rage right now in Korea. You can find them in cafes all over Korea! If you’re curious, we have a local Korean cafe that sells croffles as well!
With the home croffle kit, you can make your own croffles at home and pretend you’re in a cafe in Hongdae. It comes with a Stovetop Waffle Pan that’s induction stove friendly as well. Besides making croffles, you can use this to make some fresh waffles as well.
And of course, the kit comes with ready-to-cook frozen croissant dough because who has time to roll their own croissants, right?
If you ever came across cooking or recipe videos by Korean Youtubers and dreamed of having aesthetic kitchenware, now you can!
The FIKA pots and pans are not only stylish but functional as well. They can be used on induction stoves and have a non-stick coating that’s great for easy cleaning.
Online Korean Mart in Singapore
While BlueBasket does not have a huge range of products for now, it’s great to have more options to get Korean items directly from Korea since we can’t travel for now. Hopefully, we’ll see more new item listings on their website in the near future.
