If the name Standard Bread rings a bell, it’s because the popular bakery cafe went viral in Korea for their thick and fluffy bread loaves. We visited their store in Seongsu, so we’re quite excited that they are now open in Singapore!
Cottage Core Aesthetic
Similar to the Seongsu outlet, the space is massive with rustic cottagecore vibes – there’s wooden elements, warm lighting, and a cozy atmosphere.
One thing that immediately stood out to us was the smell of freshly baked bread the moment we walked in.
The bakery is currently open to the public with an official opening date to be announced!
Standard Bread Singapore Menu
The popular item is their Fresh Bread Loaves which come in 9 different flavours like Salted Butter Bread ($12), Corn Brioche Bread ($13), Basil Tomato Bread ($13) and more.
It was perfect for pairing with their house-made spreads, which were very unique! Flavours include Avocado Dill Cream Cheese, Orange Tamarind, Dubai Chocolate, and Earl Grey Milk Tea, all priced at $3 each.
From what we understand, there might be Singapore-exclusive items on the menu (to be announced after their grand opening). We’re looking forward to that!
We tried the Basil Tomato Bread ($13) and Chocolate Bread ($13). The Basil Tomato had a savoury, herby flavour with a soft, chewy texture, and was our favourite paired together with the Bacon Onion Apple dip!
It had a slight sweetness from the apple, balanced by the savoury, smoky flavour of the bacon.

The Chocolate Bread oozed with warm melted chocolate once we tore it open. A great choice for chocolate lovers!
They also have ‘hot’ dishes like their signature French Toasts, served on a cast iron skillet.
We were looking forward to trying the Creme Brulee French Toast ($19), but unfortunately it was already sold out when we got there.
Instead, we went for the Pistachio French Toast ($22), and it didn’t disappoint.
The toast was thick and buttery with a crisp caramelised crust, while the pistachio cream on top was smooth, nutty, and just the right amount of sweet.
For drinks, they have signature drinks like the Standard Spanner ($8), Berry Jam Milk ($8.90, and Tropical Squash ($9.90).
We also tried the Nutty Chocolate Jam Milk, but it was a bit underwhelming — it mostly just tasted like regular chocolate milk.
Other menu items include Truffle Mushroom Soup ($11), Romesco Chicken Sandwich ($15), and Toast Pudding ($14).
