Burnt Ends

Burnt Ends is a 1 Michelin Star restaurant that specialises in Australian barbeque. It has cemented its spot on Asia’s Best 50 Restaurants List with its menu of curated dishes that use a charcoal grill, with everything from meats to vegetables. The Chef’s Select is a great way to get the full experience, and you can expect a lineup of specials curated by the chefs to showcase their prowess.

Ce Soir

A fine dining concept from the team behind Le Jardin, Café De Nicole’s Flower and Under Der Linden is Ce Soir, offering French cuisine with an Asian twist. The menu smartly incorporates florals into its dishes to match its decor, and you can look forward to dishes like Hirasama Kingfish served with black radish, granny smith apple juice and goji berry sauce. The lunch menus start at $78 and the dinner menu options from $148.

Meta

Located at Keong Saik Road, Meta is a 1 Michelin Star modern Korean restaurant. Wakuda 

Wakuda is the brainchild of chef Tetsuya Wakuda, founder of the 2 Michelin Star fine-dining Japanese restaurant Waku Ghin. Wakuda boasts a beautiful interior design, alongside its menu of elevated dishes like Wagyu Beef Wakuda Sushi ($18) and Classic Saikyo Yaki ($62), a grilled miso cod.

Nouri 

Nouri is a restaurant with an innovative menu that helped them secure their 1 Michelin Star. They offer both lunch and dinner courses (from $228 and $328 respectively) featuring unique flavours like ikan bilis with chocolate, alongside premium ingredients like A5 Yamaguchi Wagyu ribeye. Bedrock

The Bedrock Group is the brains behind award-winning steakhouse concepts Bedrock Bar & Grill and Bedrock Origin. They are offering Valentine’s Day-exclusive 4-Course Set Dinner at each restaurant with different tantalising dishes. 

The Steak with Love Set Dinner ($320++ per couple) from Bedrock Bar & Grill has dishes like Cured Wagyu Beef Wrapped Oyster and a whole Surf & Turf platter. The menu even includes a glass of Chevalier Blanc De Blanc, Burgundy sparkling wine per diner to round out the dinner. The dinner is only available on 13 and 14 February for dine-in.

Bedrock Origin is offering the Love on the Island Set Dinner ($158++ per person) with a lineup including Kingfish & Scallop Carpaccio and Keisan Wagyu Striploin, also with a complimentary glass of Chevalier Blanc de Blanc.

CÉ LA VI

With a stellar view overlooking the Singapore skyline, CÉ LA VI restaurant and bar is offering a Valentine’s Day Five-Course Menu ($198++ per person). The menu offers dishes like Yellowtail Hamachi in a beautiful, ornate rose; A4 Miyazaki Striploin and a heart-shaped Rose Vanilla Mousse.

The Valentine’s Day set menu from KAARLA

Perched on top of The Outpost Hotel is Sol & Ora, a Latin-Mediterranean restaurant with a leisurely coastal interior design. They have a Valentine’s Day 3-Course Dinner Sharing Menu ($98++ per person) with a variety of tasty sharing dishes. You can look forward to the Petite Mezza Platter with Norweigan salmon tartare, oysters and other goodies; and the Sharing Platter with a mix of surf and turf like Wagyu and octopus.

Wa-En Wagyu Yakiniku

Wa-En Wagyu Yakiniku offers a tantalising selection of premium wagyu cuts that you can cook over the grill! For a luxe option, go for the Luxury Wagyu Beef Platter ($158) with 5 types of A5 Miyazaki Wagyu including ribeye, marbled karubi and beef tongue. Wa-En also offers side dishes like the refreshing Morioka Cold Noodle ($18) alongside a menu of unique cocktails like the Miyazaki Wagyu Fat-washed Old Fashioned ($24).

The Butcher’s Wife

Have you had gluten-free food before? Butcher’s Wife is a fully gluten-free restaurant that serves up Brazilian-inspired fare, with many vegan-friendly options. Try their Lamb Picanha ($38) with pistachio yoghurt and fresh orange salsa or the vegan The Wife’s Croquetas ($14) dipped into housemade fermented cashew chilli sauce. There’s also a great selection of natural wines to go with your meal!

Les Bouchons

Enjoy free-flow fries and tender steak at Les Bouchons, a French steakhouse. The outlet in Rochester boasts 2 floors of stylish French-inspired decor and an outdoor pétanque court that would definitely set the mood for a romantic evening. Their menu features items like Grilled Sirloin Wagyu ($78), Terrine de Foie-gras “Maison” ($26) and an assortment of wines.

Kissajin

Kissajin in Shaw Center offers a unique interactive omakase experience where you can fish out your own dish (literally)! Try your hand at getting a Goma Tofu with tangy yuzu dressing, and chow down on dishes like Katsu sandwiches and Japanese curry rice with Kagoshima Wagyu. There are two menu options: a seven-course lunch omakase ($68++) and an eight-course dinner omakase ($98++) for an intimate meal that is sure to spark a conversation.

Get Cheesy this Winter with Me

iKO presents a unique and experimental menu of modern Japanese flavours that will definitely spark a conversation. Hatsu

For a more classic omakase experience, try Hatsu – a hidden sushi omakase restaurant in Newton. Chef Leon Yap helms the restaurant with a curated menu designed to highlight the flavours of different Japanese prefectures, ranging from sashimi to cooked foods. Expect dishes like steamed Hokkaido crab and Umami Bomb Maki that comes brimming with fresh uni.

Gotti

Savour Napoli cuisine in style at Gotti, a plush Italian restaurant that boasts a menu of well-executed dishes and an equally interesting cocktail menu. The Guanciale Di Manzo ($32) features a rich sauce of slow-braised wagyu beef cheek and handmade fusilli pasta, while a stellar non-meat option is the Branzino Livornese ($38) with char-grilled seabass.

Thirty Six Brewlab and Smokehouse

Pistachio Crusted Lamb Chops

Thirty Six Brewlab and Smokehouse is a gastropub by local brewery Lion Brewery Co serving up tasty items with house-brewed, on-tap beers. They are offering a four-course Valentine’s Day dinner menu ($138++ for singles, $268++ for couples) with a selection of options you can choose from.

Da Paolo

Da Paolo is offering a menu of hearty Italian fare for Valentine’s Day across its three concepts: Da Paolo Dempsey Restaurant & Bar, Da Paolo Pizza Bar and Da Paolo Gastronomia.

Analogue Initiative

Analogue Initiative is a 100% plant-based bar that serves up a unique selection of artisanal cocktails and bar bites. Choose from drinks like Spaceman ($25) with peanut butter and Kyoho grapes or Soursop ($25) with lemongrass and vegan honey. 

The savoury bar bites include vegan Nuggetz ($18) and Poutine ($20) which are sure to pair well with the drinks. Analogue Initiative is also known for its 3D-printed wave bar countertop made from recycled plastic which makes for a stunning backdrop for an intimate dinner.

If you’re an LP lover, you’ll love the interior design that’s decorated with vintage vinyl records and a cosy listening corner. 

Pick from items like Burnt Chilli Dip ($12), Babi Bakar ($32) and SF Style Garlic Noodles ($14). Their cocktail menu has drinks like East 8 Hold-Up ($21) with Tried & True Vodka, passionfruit and lime and an array of beers, highballs and wines.

ANJU

ANJU is a modern Korean dining and bar experience serving up elevated bar foods and a great selection of Korean alcoholic drinks. Their signature drink is the Champagne Makgeolli ($75), a twist on the traditional fermented rice wine. Pair their drinks with their menu of snacks and mains like Black Bean Mascarpone ($16), Abalone Gim Pasta ($34) and Yangnyeom Cauliflower ($20). This place is elevated but cosy, with their dishes being a great catalyst for conversation.

Mama Diam

Hidden behind an old-school mama shop is Mama Diam, a speakeasy decorated with familiar nostalgic memorabilia from our collective childhoods. Their varied menu includes bar bites like A4 Wagyu Aburi Beef Nigiri ($19) to full portion meals like Herbal Bak Kut Teh Udon ($15) and Duck Confit ($20).

Mama Diam’s cocktails are all infused with local flavours like Rosie ($16), inspired by bandung and Mama’s Kopi ($16), a stronger espresso-based cocktail.

VUE is offering a stellar Valentine’s Day four-course menu (from $788 per couple) that showcases some ultra-premium ingredients for a luxurious evening. The menu features dishes like a Seafood Platter For Two with lobster and fresh oysters, Foie Gras Tsukune Skewers, A5 ‘Kokuou’ Emperor Black Wagyu Kumamoto and a pleasing Lychee Rose dessert designed in the shape of a heart.

Janice Wong 

Heart of Eternity Sculpture

Chocolates are essential for Valentine’s Day, and Janice Wong has you covered with her Valentine’s Day 2023 collection. These handcrafted treats boast intricate designs that are sure to wow any date! 

The Heart of Eternity Sculpture ($150) is a sphere covered in ornate red hearts of Single Origin 70% Dark Chocolate, and the Valentines’s Cake (from $58) is a heart-shaped cream cheese mousse cake with strawberry rose compote. 

They also offer a number of Heart-Shaped Bon Bons ($28 for Five, $42 for Nine) and a 70% Bean to Bar Elderflower Dark Chocolate ($14). The collection is available online or at any of Janice Wong’s three outlets in I12 Katong, Paragon and Great World City.

Surprise your date (or yourself) with a selection of Parisian treats from Angelina! There is a selection of macaroons (from $13 for a box of 4) available in flavours like Mont-Blanc, caramel, chocolate and pistachio. The chocolate selection includes ganaches and pralines (from $12 for 4)  in a variety of refined flavours like hazelnut and almond-sesame praline. 

There are also gift boxes available from $58 with goodies like hot chocolate, teas, biscuits and chocolate candies for the ultimate surprise gift.

Swensen’s

Commemorate sweet memories with Swensen’s! Their A Moment Frozen In Time Ice Cream Cake ($38.00, 350g) is customisable with a picture of your choice to be printed on the cake alongside a message (up to 15 characters). 

Confess your feelings with their heart-shaped Passion Ice Cream Cake ($39.00, 400g) that comes with a piping bag of fudge so you can write your heartfelt messages! The strawberry ice cream, named Strawrry Ice Cream Pint ($11.80) – a play for ‘sorry’, because it’s the hardest word to say – is also available for purchase.
