You can give this famous crab a try at Taste Paradise and Paradise Teochew in their 6-Course hairy crab Set Menu ($198++ per pax, minimum 2 pax to dine).
Hairy Crab Set Menu
The set menu features hairy crabs from Yangcheng Lake in China, famous for producing the best hairy crabs around. The six courses highlight both the roe and the flesh in different cooking styles for your taste.
The menu does differ slightly between Taste Paradise and Paradise Teochew, but share some overlapping dishes. The highlights from the course are undoubtedly the Steamed Hairy Crab Roe Xiao Long Bao ($16.80 a la carte) with the golden roe and the Braised Superior Shark’s Fin Soup with Hairy Crab Roe ($78.80 a la carte) sweetened with hairy crab flesh.
Taste Paradise’s menu features other dishes like Stir-fried Scallop and Broccoli in Truffle Oil with Hairy Crab Roe ($58 a la carte) and Steamed Hairy Crab Roe with Japanese Pearl Rice served in Japanese Stone Pot ($38 a la carte).
On the other hand, Paradise Teochew offers Stewed La Mian with Hairy Crab Roe ($48 a la carte) and Stir-fried Pea Sprout with Hairy Crab Roe ($46 a la carte).
