Korea is more than just kimchi. With aesthetically pleasing cafes at every corner, everything from interior to desserts must stand out to attract the social media savvy crowd. Fatcarons, or ttung-carons are one of those things that stand out.
With 2-3 times more fillings than French macarons, these macarons cannot be eaten in one bite. You can try, but with so much filling, they’re probably best when savoured slowly.
They can even contain pieces of fruit, such as a whole strawberry or even confectionary such as a Kit Kat bar.
You can now get these beautiful Korean-style Macarons in Singapore from these bakeries:

A popular flavour is the Crème Brulee Fatcaron that features a vanilla bean buttercream, caramel filling and topped off with a torched sugar glaze on top. Visually, they look absolutely delicious.
