Located in one of Singapore’s oldest and largest condominiums, Belly Good Bakehouse is a bakery cafe specializing in bagel sandwiches, toasts, and other bakes.
The main entrance is accessible to the public so you can just walk in and grab a cup of coffee and some bakes.
Hidden Bakery Cafe near Clementi
The bakery cafe is hidden away from the public eye, located in the basement of Acacia Court in Pandan Valley. There are a couple of shops here, such as Two x Four Dog Cafe, The French Ladle, and some clinics. If you’re having trouble locating Belly Good Bakehouse, it’s directly below the 7-11 and beside Johan Taekwondo.
The place has indoor seating that can take about 12 people and 6 outdoor seats.
Belly Good Bakehouse Menu
Here you can find sourdough loaves, salads, baguettes, and hand-rolled bagels. They have sweet treats like cupcakes, apple crumble pie, and gelato as well.
They have a range of bagels (all made in-house!) such as Black and White Sesame ($3), Mixed Grains ($3), Sea Salt ($3), and Gruyere ($4). When it comes to bagels, cream cheese is a must, and you’ll be glad to know that they make all the cream cheese in-house.
Choose from flavours like Bacon Chives ($5), Raspberry ($4.50), Sweet Basil ($4.50), and more!
Eggs & Cheddar Bagel
Instead of getting a bagel and pairing it with cream cheese, we opted for one of their Bagel Sandwiches and the staff kindly recommended the Eggs & Cheddar Bagel ($12) which is one of their bestsellers.
It’s a Toasted Smokey Bacon Bagel packed with eggs, cheddar cheese, chives, mesclun mix, and bacon chives cream cheese.
We loved the slightly chewy texture of the bagel, which had bits of bacon in it as well. The first bite was creamy and cheesy, with an almost sticky texture from the egg/cream cheese mix. The mesclun greens helped and prevented it from tasting too jelak over time.
Flat White
For coffee, we opted for a Flat White ($5). Here, they use the Paramount Blend from Ozone Coffee, New Zealand. The result is a balanced cup of white, with a deep flavour and slight notes of dark chocolate.
Dirty Chai Latte
One of their signature drinks is the Dirty Chai Latte ($5.50) which is a West Coast Cocoa Spiced Chai topped with 2 shots of espresso.
From the moment this drink was served, we could immediately smell the spices even before drinking it. There’s a nice balance of chai and coffee, so if you don’t like chai – this might be a great way to start.
Their other signature drink is the Peppermint Mocha ($5.50), perfect for those who want this drink outside the festive period.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Cupcake
Belly Good Bakehouse also has quite a few flavours for their cupcakes, such as Nutella Chocolate, Strawberry, and Vanilla Confetti.
We loved how the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cupcake ($5.50) was not dead sweet. The cupcake itself is chocolate flavoured, with a moist texture. The peanut butter frosting’s flavour was further accentuated by the chunks of peanut sprinkled on top.
Belly Good Bakes
If there was one thing we had to complain about, it’s probably the location and accessibility of the bakery cafe. (Good for those living nearby though!)
The bakes are generally of good quality, with everything made in-house. Drinks-wise, there’s a pretty good selection of drinks and the coffee was decent as well.
If you visit during Wed-Fri, 9am-11:30am, Belly Good Bakehouse has a free coffee promotion for those who purchase bagel sandwiches or open face sourdough toasts. Pretty good deal.
