If you’re a fan of Korean dramas (or just Korea in general), you would recognize the iconic purple and green branding of this Korean convenience store. CU is one of Korea’s most popular convenience stores and is now open in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia!
Why Singapore don’t have ☹
Unlike typical convenience stores, CU Malaysia is home to all things Korean – such as made-to-order street food such as Tteokbokki and Dak Gang Jeong (Sweet and Spicy Korean Chicken).
They have desserts such as Injeolmi and Pumpkin Soft Serve, as well as differently flavoured cup Bingsu.
Here are some photos of what you can expect in the store:
A range of different Kimbaps, Triangular Kimbaps and even bentos!
You can add some ketchup or mustard to the different corndogs available which range from RM7.99 to RM8.99. As for the fried chicken, they will mix it with the sauce when you order it!
They also have pre-packaged Korean bread. There’s even one that looks like a real sweet potato!
A whole range of sandwiches and desserts, which includes local flavours such as a Salted Gula Melaka Fudge.
There are also plenty of Korean snacks and beverages that you can enjoy.
With CU Convenience Store opening in Malaysia, and more outlets to come in the future, Malaysians can now experience a taste of Korea without leaving the country!
