KADA in Maxwell is the newest lifestyle concept! The space is a refurbished 101-year-old heritage building featuring cafes, fitness centers, and private dining spaces. It also houses Singapore’s oldest electric lift, built in 1929.
Airy, Bright Interior
KADA retains the charming colonial facade and architecture, especially its glass rooftops which let it a lot of light!
It has a unique triangular layout which makes it stand out from other colonial buildings.
The staircases are painted a dark blue, making for the perfect photo spots.
Singapore’s Oldest Electric Lift
This working electric lift was built in 1929 and is now the unique identifying feature of the space!
The lift door requires manual opening and closing, which made it quite fun. the interior retains its original metal panelling and wood accents, reflecting the lift’s historic design.
Cafes & Restaurants
On the ground level, you’ll find a variety of cafes and restaurants, including four homegrown gems: Pacto by Parchmen, Kyuukei Coffee, Kit & Kaboodle, and Echo.
Echo stands out with locally roasted coffee beans designed to have wine-like flavours. Highlights include their cold brew with vanilla cream ($7.50), espresso tonic with passionfruit purée ($7.50), and the crowd-favourite strawberry matcha($8).
This is Kyuukei Coffee’s second outlet, after their first opening in Bukit Merah!
Kyuukei Coffee offers a variety of roasted coffee and food items. Coffee options include Mocha ($7.20), Latte ($6.80), and Flat White ($6.50), with an additional $1 for iced versions. Some of their food items include Brisket Pesto ($22), King Oyster Mushroom Galette ($7), and Banana Bread ($4.50).
Another unique spot is Haus, which specialises in wine, cheese, and their popular cheesecake. Each wine is carefully curated and handpicked by the owners from regions like the Balkans, the Caucasus, North and Latin America, and Europe.
We tried their popular cheesecake, which had a smooth, melty center and a Biscoff cookie crust that paired well with their Menade wine.
The wine was priced at $15 per glass with the purchase of the cheesecake, which had a fruity note that complemented the dessert well.
Health & Wellness
Level two features health and wellness tenants, offering everything from gym facilities and physiotherapy to Pilates.
Highlights include Shiruki Studio, which offers ice baths, saunas, and hydrotherapy to aid post-workout muscle recovery.
Limitless Performance Gym is fully equipped for cardio, strength, and agility training, with well-maintained and clean equipment.
Co-living Concept
What sets this place apart is its co-living concept by Habyt KADA @ Maxwell, offering 18 rooms for flexible short and long-term stays, starting from just one week.
Each room features a fully equipped kitchenette, complete with a microwave, kettle, and even a washing machine.
