The latest burger chain in Korea is a brand called UFO Burger.
According to their website, they are calling it a 4th-dimensional burger.
The UFO burger serves to remove some problems faced when eating a burger, such as the filling constantly dropping out and having a messy burger-eating experience.
From the photos, it looks like a Dorayaki, but with burger fillings.
UFO Burger Menu
The UFO burgers are wrapped in a layer of bread using the Patented UFO BURGER MACHINE™. The shape of the burger does look kind of like a UFO spaceship.
The brand currently offers 6 different burgers such as:
Korean Traditional Homemade Tteok-Gal-Bi Burger (6,900 won)
This is their signature menu and it features a thick slab of tteokgalbi together with crispy white kimchi and cheese.
Hotel Breakfast Double Egg Burger (6,500 won)
This burger comes with scrambled eggs, a fried egg and bacon. If you love eggs and bacon, this is the one to get.
American Original Handmade Patty Burger (6,900 won)
It contains a grilled patty that was made using Australian Wagyu beef paired with truffle oil, cheese and lettuce.
Other burgers include:
- Grilled Chicken Breast Vegetable Salad Burger (6,500 won)
- Foreign Student Triple Cheese Burger (6,500 won)
- Star Chef’s Special Burger with Chef Dong-Ki (6,500 won)
They are also planning to launch 3 new burgers in the upcoming days.
Spaceship Vibes
Just like their brand name, the stores, with their metallic and sleek interior, scream spaceship vibes. It almost feels like you’re eating your burger in space.
If you opt for takeout, the burgers are placed in a metallic-looking packaging, kind of like the astronaut ice-creams we used to see in Science Centre.
They have a main branch at Gangnam and are opening a lot more stores all over Korea.
What Does UFO Burger Stand For?
Well, according to their social media posts, UFO stands for Unexpected First Orgasm.
Now that’s a catchphrase.
We’re assuming their burgers are that good.
How do they taste in real life? Guess we’ll have to wait till the pandemic ends and head to South Korea to try it for ourselves.
