Golden Village is bringing a new experience to Singapore by letting its patrons decide on a movie’s ending.
Late Shift follows Matthew Thompson, a part-time parking attendant as he finds himself in different decision-making moments, which you as a moviegoer, get to decide on what decision he makes.
Late Shift Interactive Movie at Golden Village
We attended the preview screening of Late Shift over at Suntec City’s Golden Village and it was a pretty interesting experience.
The experience started with a three-course meal by Executive Chef Kenny Yeo from One Faber Group’s Arbora Hilltop Garden & Bistro and Dusk Restaurant & Bar, with Chivas as the official drinks partner.
The three-course menu features a signature Chilli Crab Potato Skin appetiser, followed by a velvety Coq Au Vin, and a dark chocolate ice cream dessert. Chivas is also offering unique drinks like the Bandung Chivas HiBall and Elderflower Chivas HiBall.
The movie requires you to download an app called ‘CtrlMovie’ where you get to pick between several options and decide on how you want the story to pan out. From simple options to more exciting and nerve-racking decisions that needed to be made within seconds, we were on the edge of our seat!
Late Shift has 7 different conclusions, and the different choices along the way will eventually lead you to one of the seven endings.
Unlike Bandersnatch, you don’t get to restart the film should you end up with an unfavourable decision. The film continues and runs in a smooth manner, as if nothing happened.
Should you end up with an ending that you’re not happy with, you can head back to the Golden Village and show them your ticket to get a discounted ticket to try for a different outcome.

You can also partake in this special Gold Class experience at Golden Village Suntec on 20th April 2021. Due to popular demand, they have opened more slots on the 21st of April 2021 as well.

Late Shift @ Golden Village
From 22 April 2021, GV will be screening Late Shift at GV Funan, GV Plaza and GV Suntec City. Tickets will be priced at $13 for weekday and $15 for weekend tickets. Indulge in this new experience and we hope everyone gets the ending they want!
