We’re pretty sure almost every single Singaporean knows about POKKA. Some of their most well-loved drinks include the sugar-free Houjicha, their range of sweetened teas and the famous Jasmine Green Tea.
Recently, the brand posted a post on Facebook with a bunch of Christmas-inspired mocktail recipes that you can easily make at home. Sounds perfect for those having Xmas gatherings in the next few weeks.
Here are some of the drinks:
Frosty Apple Mockarita
POKKA’s version of the Margarita is made using their Sparkling Fuji Apple drink, lime, and green apple slices. It seems like a refreshing blend of sweet and sour.
The recipe is pretty simple as well. Simply run the cut side of the lime around the rims of your glasses and dip it in salt, so it’ll end up like those margarita drinks you see in bars.
Blend the ice, lime juice, lime rind and sparkling apple juice together. Finish by decorating with apple slices and zest.
The ratio they used is 1ml of lime juice for every 20ml of Sparkling Apple Juice.
Zesty Fizzer
The Zesty Fizzer can be made by placing the POKKA Orange 1000 drink with orange wheels and sprigs of rosemary in a jug. Muddle well and top it up with soda water. You are free to garnish with sliced strawberries, cinnamon sticks and more sprigs of rosemary.
The ratio they used is 2 parts POKKA Orange 1000 to 1 part Soda Water.
A Berry, Berry Christmas
True to its name, this recipe uses quite a bit of berries. You simply mash your berries and mix in the POKKA mixed berries drink. Strain out the seeds and pulps and add in soda water and ice.
POKKA elevated the drink recipe by twisting some lemon peels to release the essential oils and rubbed the rim with it. Finish by garnishing the drink with the lemon peel and adding more fresh berries.
Drizzle some honey over the top to taste.
The ratio they used is 2 parts POKKA Mixed Berries and Carrot Juice to 1 part Soda Water.
Gingerbread Mocha Mockslide
Firstly, coat the rims of your glasses with chocolate syrup and dip them in a mixture of crushed brown sugar and gingerbread cookies. You’ll want to place this in the fridge, so it solidifies.
In the meantime, blend the POKKA Mocha drink with some ice to make a coffee slushy. Pour it into the chocolate-covered glasses and top up with some whipped cream or heavy cream.
According to POKKA, you can sprinkle cocoa powder and the leftover crushed cookie mix on top. Make sure to add the cinnamon sticks in as well!
The Grape Escape
One of the easiest recipes is The Grape Escape. You basically need to mix POKKA’s Kiyo Grape drink and POKKA’s Lemon 1000 drink together with some soda water, mint leaves, blueberries, and lemon wheels.
Garnish with more mint leaves, blueberries and lemon wheels.
The ratio they used is 2 parts Kiyo Kyoho Grape Juice to 1 part POKKA Lemon 1000 to 1 part Soda Water. (2:1:1)
