The Best Way To Enjoy Somaek Is With Terra & Chamisul, Otherwise Known As Tesula (테슬라)

Ah, who can forget soju and beer when it comes to Korean culture? The combination, otherwise known as Somaek, has made its way around the globe through Korean dramas and variety shows. But did you know? The most popular combination for Somaek nowadays is using Terra Beer and Jinro Chamisul? It’s also known as Tesula (테슬라) or simply pronounced, Tesla.

We still remember spotting Terra beer for the first time in Singapore earlier this year at Ahtti Chicken, but the popular Korean beer brand can now be spotted in lots of Korean restaurants!

The Tesula combination is perfect for those who can’t drink soju straight from the bottle. Mixing it with Terra beer helps to relieve some of that strong alcohol sensation and makes it extra smooth and easy to drink at the same time.

Also, if you’re someone that mixes flavoured soju with beer – please stop.

Where To Find Tesula (테슬라) Soju + Beer in Singapore?

You can visit iconic Korean restaurants like Joo Bar, Charim, Obba BBQ, Super Star K, Dondaebak, Wangdaebak, Oven & Fried Chicken, Seorae, and Hyangyeon for a TESULA experience.

Joo Bar is having a TESULA promotion where you can get 1 bottle of Terra (330ml) and 1 bottle of Chamisul Fresh for $24. You can also pair the drinks with delicious bar bites like Joo Soy Wings ($16), Joo Loaded Fries ($18), and Cheesy Tteokbokki ($16).

Our favourite item was the Cheese Tteokbokki, which had a nice crispy rice cake exterior since it was fried before the cheese sauce was added.

If you’re having home gatherings or parties, you’ll be glad to know that you can get TESULA from Amber Nectar’s official store on Shopee and Lazada. They are also having a promotion where you can get 3 cans of Terra Beer + 1 bottle of Chamisul Soju for just $19.90 (till 31st December).
