Located in Claymore Connect, Ichigo Ichie is one of the many restaurants that have pivoted towards offering à la carte menu items.
The restaurant still offers its signature omakase menu at lunch and dinner, but it now also presents a new à la carte menu, allowing guests more freedom to customize their experience.
Japanese Omakase Restaurant with A La Carte Menu
There isn’t a fixed menu as Ichigo Ichie aims to feature the freshest produce of the day. But the general menu consists of items like donabes and desserts.

One item you’ll most likely find on the a la carte menu most of the time is the Cold Ebi Somen, which is one of Chef Akane’s signature items. It features Japanese tiger prawn with miwa somen in a clear prawn broth, with tonburi, yuzu and a hint of chilli paste.
This was actually inspired by the different prawn noodles dishes found in Asia, and Chef Akane’s rendition is refined, highlighting the notes of the ingredients.
We also tried several seasonal dishes like the Komochi Ayu Fry, which is usually a summer dish. However, during autumn, female ayu are carrying roe, making it a seasonal delicacy.
There was also the A5 Mizayaki Sukiyaki Beef served alongside Amera Tomatoes, a juicy variety of Japanese tomatoes.
Ichigo Ichie is rather known for their donabes, and we tried the Unagi with Dong Ding Oolong Tea. The tea is a gorgeous blend of dashi, so we did prefer the donabe, ochazuke style. The grilled unagi was really plump and delicious!
Desserts featured seasonal Japanese fruits, alongside a Pudding that’s made in-house.

An omakase meal isn’t something you’d have every day, which makes the à la carte menu perfect for those looking for something light in the area. You can definitely expect the freshest seasonal ingredients for your time at Ichigo Ichie.
Do take note that the a la carte menu is offered exclusively within Ichigo Ichie’s private dining room, which can accommodate up to five guests, and requires at least one day’s advance reservation.
