Wong Fu Fu: Limited Time Collaboration Menu With Nongshim For Pop-Up Pocha

You’ve probably already heard of Wong Fu Fu, a halal-certified restaurant offering a free-flow bubble tea buffet! They have now collaborated with Korean instant noodle brand Nongshim for a fun Pop-up Pocha concept.

There will be three new dishes will be introduced, incorporating the iconic Shin Stir Fry Ramyun and Shin Stir Fry Cheese Ramyun.

Wong Fu Fu x Nongshim Menu

Stir-Fried Shin Spicy Ramyun Kimchi Pancake And Crab Meat

The first dish is the  Stir-Fried Shin Spicy Ramyun Kimchi Pancake And Crab Meat ($15.90 ala carte). It was reminiscent of a Thai-style omelette, with thick eggs and generous crab topping!

We liked the combination of the savoury egg and spice from the kimchi, although we think that classic Shin Ramyeon taste could be much more prominent.

Stir Fry Shin Cheese Ramyun Sizzling Cheesy Omelette

The Stir Fry Shin Cheese Ramyun Sizzling Cheesy Omelette ($16.90) can be enjoyed as a main. It isn’t exactly a rolled omelette but rather a layer of egg on the hotplate with a cheesy sauce.  The combination of cheese and fried noodles was indulgent but we think it might get overbearing after a while.

Stir-Fried Shin Spicy Ramyun Seafood Croquettes With Crispy Korean Chicken And Fries

The final dish is the Stir-Fried Shin Spicy Ramyun Seafood Croquettes With Crispy Korean Chicken And Fries ($17.90). This was sizeable, with 2 fist-sized croquettes, stuffed with potato and seafood mix.  Although the idea was novel, we felt that this was quite dense and hard to eat. It could definitely do with a stronger seafood flavour! .

It also had a side of Korean fried chicken and chilli and lime friesg. These were crispy on the outside, with an addictive savouriness that was perfect with their in-house special mala mayo sauce!

Overall, we felt that the dishes could incorporate more of Shin Ramyun’s distinctive flavours and a spicier kick.

Bonus: Shaved Ice

A sweet end to the meal is the Taiwan-Inspired Milk Shaved Ice. We tried the Lychee Rose Berry Milk ($12.90) that came with berry syrup, adding a nice tang. You will also find toppings like lotus biscuits, lychee bits  and more within! It was creamy and a perfect contrast to the salty mains.
