Si Chuan Dou Hua Launches New Mala Butter Hotpot And Seafood Feast With Oyster, Lobster & More

You’ve heard of mala milk, but have you had mala butter? Si Chuan Dou Hua at PARKROYAL has launched a new Mala Butter Hotpot, with a hearty selection of sides to enjoy.

Si Chuan Dou Hua Mala Butter Hotpot

The Majestic Hot Pot Experience ($98++ per pax) is a set menu that includes up to 2 broths.

Majestic Hot Pot Experience

These choices are the Mala Butter or non-spicy options Boiled King Garoupa Bones with Preserved Capsicum and Double-boiled Imperial Fish Maw Collagen (an additional $28/pot).

It’s served in an ornate, bright-coloured pot with traditional Chinese design motifs.

The Mala Butter soup itself is spicy – similar to the xiao or zhong la spice level in mala xiang guo – but flavourful, mellowed out by the creaminess from the butter.

It’s not as drinkable but not too overbearing, we found that we kept going back to it!

The broth also comes with a pre-set menu of meats, vegetables and a seafood platter! The platter boasted items like scallops, king prawns, lobster and fresh Garoupa.

The amount of food is scaled according to the number of pax at the table so you can be assured there’s enough for everyone.

Everything was fresh, succulent and paired well with their spicy and savoury House Dipping Sauce.

The Majestic Hot Pot Experience is available for dine-in at Si Chuan Dou Hua at PARKROYAL on Beach Road all the way till 31 December 2023 for both lunch and dinner!

Summer Seafood Feast

The restaurant has also rolled out a Summer Seafood Feast focused on showcasing fresh seafood with Sichuan flavours!

The set menu starts from $298 for 4 people and has options for 6 and 8 people.

Baby Lobster with Sichuan Salt and Pepper

The courses include items like Baby Lobster, King Garoupa in Mala Sauce, and even steamed Japanese Oyster with Preserved Minced Chilli!

All the dishes were flavourful and paired great with rice, showcasing the freshness and sweetness of the seafood.
