Tres Gorderas: Food Kiosk With Latin-Inspired Menu At Sprout Hub

*Update: Tres Gorderas is now closed.

Sprout Hub has changed a lot since we visited last year, with more seats and more food options to choose from. The latest addition to Sprout Hub is Tres Gorderas, a food kiosk selling Latin-Inspired cuisine.

Menu By The Chef from Coexist Coffee Co.

Seating Area available at Sprout Hub

Tres Gorderas translates to ‘Three Fatsos’, which also refers to the 3 bosses who are behind the food kiosk business.

We also learned that the food waste collected here is composted and brought back to the farm to act as fertilizer! So, you don’t have to feel guilty if you really cannot finish your food.

Tres Gorderas Menu

The menu here is created by the chef from Coexist Coffee Co., which features items like burritos and tortilla chips.

You can choose from 3 different kinds of bases here, a Burrito Wrap, Tortilla Chips, or Straight Cut Fries. Top it off with your choice of protein, the Chicken Salsa ($12), Pork Carnitas ($12), BBQ Steak ($12) or Falafel & Hummus ($12).

Pork Carnitas Burrito Wrap

We went for the Pork Carnitas for our burrito wrap, which includes items like Turmeric Rice, Mexican Beans, Pico de Gallo, and Sriracha Mayo inside the wrap, which was toasted to perfection.

The burrito is served alongside a serving of Guacamole and Pico de Gallo.

Slow-cooked, tender and juicy pulled pork was the star of the show here, and was great with the hearty rice that soaked up some of the pork juices. The beans also added a nice earthy flavour to the burrito. The Pico de Gallo added a welcome touch of acidity to our burrito, which helped to balance out the richness of the Guacamole and the mayo.

The serving here is huge, and one burrito would make a heavy lunch for an average person. We would recommend sharing this with a friend.

Chicken Salsa Tortilla Chips

Served together with shredded cheese, cream cheese, guacamole, jalapeno, Pico de Gallo, and spring onion, the tortilla chips make a great sharing dish.

The portion is again, huge, and would be great as a side dish with the affordable drinks you can get over at Pyroast.

We loved how they were generous with the portions, so every tortilla chip that we ate could be generously piled with toppings.

Great Spot To Unwind and Chill

With the addition of Tres Gorderas, Sprout Hub is a great place to unwind with some tortilla chips and a couple of Suntory Highballs/Hoegarden Rose. Hopefully, as they continue operations, we’ll see more food options to choose from.

Opening Promotion

From 23rd Sept to 30th Sept 2021, they will be having a 20% promotion off their entire menu.
