Starbucks Releases Baked Mooncakes With Flavours Like Pandan Salted Egg Mochi (And New Drinkware Collection!)

Starbucks makes mooncakes? You may ask. Yes, they do, and they’re offering an interesting selection of flavours this year! With a good variety of options, there’s something to meet everyone’s tastebuds. We got the opportunity to try the flavours and were pleasantly surprised!

Interesting Flavours Like Hazelnut Chocolate, Black Sesame, and More

Baked mooncakes made by Starbucks Singapore with their new drinkware collection, the Mid-Autumn Fuzzy Bunny

The lineup this year includes the traditional baked mooncake flavour Lotus Paste with Egg Yolk, made with less sugar for a less jelak eating experience. In line with the theme of coffee, they are also offering the Starbucks® Coffee with Caramel & Hazelnut, infused with Starbucks’ signature microground coffee and a caramel and chopped hazelnuts center. There’s also Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate that tasted indulgent without being overbearing, pairing a dark chocolate white lotus paste with a salted caramel center with almond bits.

Starbucks is also offering a unique mochi mooncake line, where the mooncakes have a mochi core in the middle. The Black Sesame Mochi has black sesame paste enveloping plain mochi that paired very well together, similar to a fragrant black sesame tangyuan. Pandan Salted Egg Mochi is the second flavour with salted egg flavoured mochi! It sounds strange, but it complimented the fragrance of the pandan to make for an interesting sweet and savoury bite. It’s definitely worth a try! If you’re spoilt for choice, Starbucks is offering a Starbucks Gift Box ($62.90) that comes in 2 variations, each with 8 mooncakes in different quantities of each flavour.

New Drinkware Collection With Bunnies In Sweaters

If you’re looking to add another Starbucks mug to your collection, you’re in luck! The new Mid-Autumn Festival Fuzzy Bunny Collection comes with tumblers, bottles, and mugs adorned with cute bunnies wrapped up in yarn sweaters, and warm, comforting autumn-inspired colours. The overall design is reminiscent of vintage storybooks, providing a cozy touch to your drinkware.

You can get the mooncakes and the Mid-Autumn Festival Fuzzy Bunny Collection at the  Starbucks® Online Store, in all physical Starbucks stores, on the Starbucks app, LazMall, and ShopeeMall, or get single flavours delivered via GrabFood, Foodpanda, and Deliveroo. Do note the Mid-Autumn Festival Fuzzy Bunny Collection will only be available from 24 August 2022 onwards.
