SIDES Singapore: Popular Fried Chicken From UK By The Sidesmen Now In Bugis

If you’re also into gaming and comedy content online, you’ll know of The Sidesmen: a group of UK lads who made their fame on Youtube. They’ve launched a fried chicken brand SIDES that’s making their first international debut in Singapore!

Neon Lights & Bright Colours

Seating area of SIDES Singapore

The space is as flashy and loud as their profiles, looking almost like a gaming cafe.

There are bright blue lights, flashing neon signs and black seating.

The outlet opens officially on 5 June 2025 but we got a sneak preview!

SIDES Singapore Menu

The speciality here is fried chicken and burgers. They offer Nashville-style fried chicken, available in Tenders (from $9.90) and Wings (from $10.50). The spice levels range from Classic (0) to Nashville Hot (3).

The menu is also halal! They are pending on their halal certification.

We tried the Tenders and Wings. These were well-prepared with a crunchy crust and juicy meat!

The chicken is marinated for 16 hours before being coated in a special flour, creating that crunchy exterior.

We’d recommend Nashville Mild if you take spice. The rub is fragrant and a little bit sweet, with the kick coming in at the end.

You can get them a la carte or in Meals from 4 piece ($16.50) and 6 piece ($20.20), including waffle fries and 2 sauces.

Top: Ultimate Nashville, Bottom: Classic

Their burgers also feature fried chicken in three variations: Classic ($12.50), Nashville ($12.90) and Ultimate Nashville Cheeseburger ($14.50).

We tried the Classic and Ultimate Nashville Cheeseburger.

The flavours and textures of the burgers are great – especially the Nashville – but our only complaint is the dryness of the chicken patty.

It was made with a full chicken breast (so you get lots of protein), but the toughness disrupted the eating experience.

Something fun is their plethora of 9 sauces to choose from, ranging from Chocolate BBQ ($3) to classics like Garlic Mayo ($2).

They have a Secret Sauce ($3), but we didn’t enjoy it as it was too thick. Taste-wise? It fell flat compared to the others.

Our pick is definitely the Buttermilk Ranch ($2), with a light and tangy herb fragrance that isn’t overbearing.

There are sides to complement your meal, including Mac & Cheese ($4), Chilli Poppers ($4) and Corn Ribs ($4). We’d skip the Mac & Cheese and just go for the Corn Ribs or fries.

No burger is complete without a sweet treat after and they offer milkshakes! The Vanilla Marshmallow ($9.90) had vanilla bean speckles in it, giving a pleasant vanilla flavour.

We felt it was indulgent and sweet, but some might find it too overbearing.

Sidesmen Fried Chicken In Singapore

We didn’t hold much expectations for a celebrity-owned food brand, but SIDES Singapore had some good offerings. We hope they can improve the consistency of their fried chicken for a better eating experience!
